Drax the Destroyer. This name conjures up the image of someone who has no mercy and kills anyone who crosses his way. But while Drax might prefer building such a reputation, there's much more to him than meets the eye. Drax was on a path to avenge his family and somewhere along the way, he found a new family in the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Drax became one of the fan-favorites thanks to Dave Bautista's performance and the way the character is written. He's strong but not invincible and often comes up with funny lines. Considering how funny Drax is, it's no wonder so many fans make memes about him.
The Power Of Invisibility
Drax's real power isn't that he's super strong. It's the fact that he can turn invisible - at least as long as he stands still and moves really slow. That's what Drax believes, anyway. But in one of the best crossover memes out there, it actually works.
When Norman Osborn aka the Green Goblin searches for Peter (who's masked as Spider-Man at this point), he doesn't spot Drax standing right there, being very, very still.
Drax Knows Best
Sometimes the best plan is also the most straightforward one. In this meme, Drax believes that going after Thanos and killing him is how to do it. He did attempt something similar in the movies but failed since Thanos already had the Reality Stone by then.
Overall, though, Drax's plan isn't all bad - it would have just required more firepower than he actually had when he went after Thanos.
The Real Invisible Man
Multiple films about the Invisible Man have been made. Most of them belong to the horror/thriller genre but there have also been some comedies. However, the most perfect invisible man isn't the one from H.G. Wells's novel.
It's Drax who utilized his power to turn invisible in Avengers: Infinity War. And judging by this meme, Magneto definitely approves. Shame these two didn't get to team up in the movies. It would be an interesting encounter, to put it mildly.
The Team-Up The Audience Didn't Get
Speaking of excellent team-ups that never happened, there's also this meme. Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) was a pretty awesome film. It had one major error though - all superheroes were unavailable to help Peter fight the supposed Elementals and then the real villain behind the illusions, Mysterio.
But as this meme revealed, Drax was present the whole time. He just was so invisible even the alert Spider-Man with his spider-sense didn't notice him.
Why Indeed?
Even though he might not have realized it at the time, Drax has inadvertently voiced one of the biggest scientific mysteries of all time - Why is Gamora? Everybody knows who Gamora is - the deadliest woman in the galaxy and the adoptive daughter of Thanos.
They even know where Gamora is, more or less - dead on Vormir, but her younger version is gallivanting somewhere around the universe. But why Gamora is, this great mystery remains unsolved.
Drax Sees Almost Everything
One of many aspects of Drax's personality that makes him so funny is that he takes things literally. So if Drax and Captain America met and Captain would tell the ever too honest Drax to watch his language, Drax would be understandably confused.
It's difficult to see these two becoming instant friends. But then again, Drax respects powerful and strong people, and Captain America certainly fits the bill.
The Only Arms Drax Needs
If anybody out there loves dark humor, this meme will be the right one for them. When asked about one's right to bear arms, Drax is quick to express his opinion. He believes that every human can defend himself by using arms... severed from large beasts.
Perhaps if this was the case in real life, people would be much friendlier to one another. After all, severing an arm from a beast is no easy task. If anybody can pull it off, it's Drax.
What They Were Like Before
When the audience met Drax and Rocket Raccoon in the MCU, they've already been through a lot. Drax lived through the loss of his family and he as well as Rocket built quite a reputation for themselves as excellent fighters.
However, if the fans wondered what Drax and Rocket used to be when they were younger, they need to wonder no more. This meme provides a clear answer, and it's not a stretch to presume many fans will think that baby Rocket is almost as cute as baby Groot.
The Showdown That Never Happened
If this isn't a missed opportunity, nothing else is. The fans who watched the unusual superhero TV show The Boys will know that Billy Butcher fought the invisible evil superhero Translucent. Spoiler alert - he won in the fight and his group killed Translucent in the end.
If Drax was the invisible hero fighting Billy, it's hard to say what the outcome of the fight would be, though. But one thing is certain - it would be a memorable experience to watch it.
Reality Vs. Story
Reality and stories are often far apart. Even when someone experiences something amazing, it's hard to tell about the experience to other people to express how amazing it was.
For example, Drax has battled impressive opponents multiple times, but if he wanted to tell the tales of his glorious battles, the difference between his story and the real deal would be as big as the difference between these two pictures.
