Ms. Marvel is coming to Disney+ in a new Marvel series for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is part of what is rumored to be the start of introducing the next generation of heroes to the MCU, along with Kate Bishop's Hawkeye, America Chavez's Miss Marvel, and Wanda Maximoff's twins from WandaVision.

Ms. Marvel is the first Disney+ series to focus on a lead character no one had met yet in the MCU, and Kamala Khan is going on later to appear on the big screen in Captain Marvel 2, so this series will be the first chance for fans to get to know Marvel's latest teenage hero. Luckily, Marvel posted an article announcing the new Disney+ show and included the cast for the series.

Iman Vellani / Ms. Marvel

Newcomer Iman Vellani will take on the role of Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel, in the Disney+ series based on the character. Kamala is a 16-year-old Pakistani-American who lives in New Jersey with her family and loves superheroes, including Captain Marvel. When she learns she has superpowers, she sets out to emulate her heroes and becomes a great superhero in her own right. Actress Vellani is making her big acting debut with Ms. Marvel.

Aramis Knight / Red Dagger

Actor Aramis Knight is part of the announced Ms. Marvel cast, and he took to Instagram to reveal he is playing the role of Red Dagger, a Pakistani vigilante. Knight is best known for his role in the 2013 movie Ender's Game and was also one of the lead characters in the AMC series Into the Badlands, where he played M.K. In Marvel Comics, he lived with Kamala's grandmother and protected Pakistani people as Red Dagger and later came to the United States and lived with Kamala in an exchange student program.

Saagar Shaikh / Aamir Khan

Saagar Shaikh joins the cast of Ms. Marvel in the role of Kamala's brother Amir Khan. Shaikh is also a new actor, moving to Los Angeles in 2012 to try to make it as an actor and appearing in short films and a web series called Unfair & Ugly. The character, Aamir Khan, is a very protective older brother to Kamala Khan, who is not as happy about the idea of teenage costumed vigilantes and often provides stress for Ms. Marvel at home.

Rish Shah / Kamran

Rish Shah joins the cast of Ms. Marvel to play the first Inhuman character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ended. Shah will star as Kamran, and it will be interesting to see how he plays into the series since, in the comics, Kamala is an Inhuman.

Shah, who starred in Netflix's To All the Boys: Always and Forever, posted his arrival to Ms. Marvel's cast on Instagram, along with photos of his character, Kamran, a love interest for Kamala who has the power to channel energy into objects.

Matt Lintz / Bruno Carrelli

Matt Lintz played Henry in The Walking Dead, the adopted son of Carol, who ended up with his head on a pike. He has now joined the cast of Ms. Marvel as Bruno Carrelli. Bruno is one of Kamala Khan's best friends in school, a young man with a genius-level IQ, and one of the few people in the world who knows that Kamala is the teenage vigilante Ms. Marvel. Thanks to his intellect, he helps Ms. Marvel with her activities while also covering for her with her parents.

Zenobia Shroff / Muneeba Khan

Marvel announced Zenobia Shroff has joined the cast of Ms. Marvel. She is rumored to be playing Kamala's mother, Munbeeba Khan, which caused controversy that resulted in the #FixMsMarvel hashtag starting to trend. The controversy surrounds the fact she is a non-Muslim Indian cast as Kamala's Pakistani Muslim mother. Shroff is best known for her role on The Affair, where she portrayed Priya Ullah.

Mohan Kapur / Yusuf Khan (Rumored)

Mohan Kapoor, an Indian actor who is best known for Bollywood movies from his native India, was cast to join Ms. Marvel, and he is rumored to play the role of Yusuf Khan, Kamala's father.

If this casting is true, it will bring one of Ms. Marvel's most colorful characters to the big screen with a popular Bollywood actor. Yusef is a strict father, who rules with love, and later develops a heart condition that makes his well-being as important for Kamala as her life as a hero.

Laurel Marsden / Zoe Zimmer

Laurel Marsden will take on the role of Zoe Zimmer, a close friend of Kamala Khan at school who also becomes one of her closest allies. In the comics, Zoe was a popular girl that wasn't part of Kamala's circle of friends, but after she saved her life, the two got to know each other and realized they were not so different. Their relationship was slightly strained in the comics because Zoe worried about Kamala's safety as Ms. Marvel and how her heroics affected her friend's safety.
