Eternals introduces a team of ten superpowered beings into the ever-sprawling MCU. From the get-go, their impressive cosmic abilities rank them as some of the mightiest beings in the Marvel lore, similar to the likes of Thor or the half-Celestial Star-Lord.

Marvel and DC have clashed in the past, so a battle between the Eternals and the Justice League isn't as ludicrous as it might sound. Both teams have literal gods among their ranks, but only one would come out on top when the dust settled. The question is, which of the two would claim victory?

The Eternals Would Win

Gilgamesh Would Take On The Heavy Hitters

He might not be a rival for the likes of Superman, but Gilgamesh is the most powerful Eternal in terms of physical strength. He would have no problem taking on Batman and Cyborg, keeping them both entertained with some help from other Eternals, like Sprite. Phastos' inventions would also come in handy to help Gilgamesh fight against the army of tricks hiding in Batman's utility belt.

It's improbable that Gilgamesh would single-handedly defeat either the Caped Crusader or Cyborg. However, if supported by others, he might be able to land a devastating blow to Cyborg and counter the Caped Crusader's tricks.

Thena Would Keep Wonder Woman Busy

Similarly, Thena would go head-to-head with Wonder Woman, keeping her away from the battle. Thena's ability to create any weapon of her choice using cosmic energy would be ideal in the fight, allowing her to keep up with Wonder Woman's impressive collection of powers. Indeed, the two would recognize each others' might and lead an honorable battle unlike anything seen in the MCU or DCEU.

Like Gilgamesh, Thena probably doesn't have enough strength on her own to defeat Wonder Woman. However, Kingo could team up with her, and their combined efforts could be enough to bring the Princess of Themyscira down after a particularly lengthy battle.

Druig's Abilities Will Come In Handy

Druig's eyes glow as yellow energy surrounds him at a beach in Eternals.

Mind control and manipulation might seem like passive abilities in battle, but they can be quite the menace. Hiding on the sidelines, Druig could take control of several members of the Justice League, turning them against their teammates.

Druig's powers would be useless against the DC Trinity, and Aquaman could also resist them. However, the Eternal could control both Flash and Cyborg, adding a second speedster and a Motherbox-powered robot to the Eternals' ranks. And even if Druig's control lasted for a couple of minutes only, he'd be able to provoke massive damage to the League.

Sersi's Powers Are Stronger Than Ever

At the beginning of Eternals, Sersi's powers are limited. She can manipulate and transform inanimate matter only, making her one of the more passive members of the team. However, because of the film's events, her powers increase considerably, allowing her to transform living beings as well.

Sersi's abilities would've been instrumental against Thanos, and it's easy to understand why. Her powers are a game-changer, allowing her to manipulate everything from the battlefield to the League's weapons. Sersi could take Cyborg out of the battle entirely while also rendering many of Batman's many gadgets useless.

Ikaris Is A Man On A Mission

If Eternals made one thing clear, it's that Ikaris is not messing around. He is the ultimate soldier and will stop at nothing until he fulfills his mission. Ikaris will kill whoever he has to without any care or concern, making him a deadly opponent on the battlefield.

Ikaris is also one of the most powerful cosmic characters in the MCU. The nature of his gifts would make him the ideal opponent for the Man of Steel. The battle would be pretty savage; indeed, Superman might outpower Ikaris, but nothing beats a man with a purpose. And with both his mission and the love of his life in danger, Ikaris might draw strength from a still undiscovered place within himself.

The Justice League Would Win

Never Underestimate Aquaman

Aquaman is often the butt of the joke of the Justice League. However, in the DCEU, the character proved to be more than the guy who talks to fish, cementing his place as a vital and mighty member of the team. Now wielding the Trident of Atlan that gives him control over the seven seas, Aquaman is the true king of the oceans.

Fighting the Eternals would be a rush for the Atlantean. He'd jump straight into battle, fighting everyone from Ikaris to Kingo. Few Eternals would withstand an attack from Aquaman's full might, and those who did would be left weakened by it.

Flash Would Beat Makkari

The Flash pushes Diana's sword with his finger in Justice League

Who is faster, Flash or Makkari? Since Eternals premiered, the question has been making the rounds, with actress Lauren Ridloff, Makkari's portrayer, claiming that her character would probably outrun the Scarlet Speedster.

Whatever the truth, Makkari is as much a warrior as she is a runner. Her strength is impressive, capable of giving Ikaris a run for his money. She might be slower than Flash, but she might be physically stronger. Alas, Barry Allen is one of the most powerful versions of the Flash on any Earth and has some abilities that Makkari doesn't, including cyclone generation and lightning production, giving him the edge to claim victory.

Wonder Woman Would Ultimately Defeat Thena

Wonder Woman and Thena would have a battle for the ages. Both characters could be seen as analogous, being mighty warriors of legend whose most extraordinary powers seem to be unconditional love and unbreakable faith.

The two would battle until the end, exhausting each other. However, Diana's might would ultimately prove too vast for Thena, and the Eternal would lose the fight. Wonder Woman would then be free to aid her fellow Leaguers, and with one of their heavy hitters down, the Eternals would be in serious trouble.

Batman Is The Clevererest Of Them All

The Dark Knight is one of the best superheroes ever created. He is at the peak of human physicality and an expert in numerous martial arts techniques. Batman had some of DC Comics' best mentors, making him one of the most formidable hand-to-hand combatants in the world.

Even though the Eternals have cosmic powers, Batman would be no pushover. His intellect would allow him to exploit the team's weaknesses, strategically taking down the potential dangers — Druig, Phastos, Ajak — before moving to the heavy hitters. Batman would spend most of the time locked in battle with Gilgamesh, defeating him with some help from Cyborg.

They Have Superman

In simple terms, Superman might be the most powerful superhero of all time. There are several loopholes to his powers, but the Man of Steel is still a mighty figure, and few can match him in terms of raw strength. Superman has defeated both Thor and the Hulk in the comics using his brute force, so it's safe to say he could beat the Eternals.

Ikaris would be Supe's most challenging opponent. However, once he went down, the other Eternals would be no match for the Last Son of Krypton. After all, Superman has Ikaris' heat vision and power of flight, plus other goodies like his freezing breath.
