Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Werewolf By NightMarvel's special presentation Werewolf By Night hints that Elsa Bloodstone could have the potential to be stronger than Thor. Elsa is the current owner of the magical Bloodstone, an artifact capable of granting its wielder great power. The extent of the Bloodstone's magic is not fully explored, but Easter eggs in the presentation hint at its capabilities.

Werewolf By Night centers around a gathering of hunters who come to honor the life of Ulysses Bloodstone and become the next wielder of his infamous magical ruby. The presentation's characters are unique as many of them, outside the main characters, don't have comic book counterparts. However, despite the standalone status, Werewolf seemingly opens the door for the MCU to explore its monstrous roots, and the inclusion of the Bloodstone could shift the power structure.

A mural on the wall in Werewolf By Night featured Ulysses Bloodstone battling a comic-book accurate Gorr the God-Butcher, showcasing the stone's power. Though a quick Easter egg, it has massive implications for the power potential of the Bloodstone's wielder. Gorr is a known enemy of Thor and a threat to the gods in the comics and the MCU. Gorr has slaughtered hordes of gods and has given Thor a run for his money. If Ulysses was able to fight on par with Gorr, then the MCU's Bloodstone may be able to grant its user godlike powers. The stone even weakened Man-Thing, who in the comics is the protector of the Nexus of All Realities and a very powerful being. With the family heirloom now in Elsa's hands, she may be on par with, or perhaps even stronger than the god of thunder himself.

Elsa Bloodstone's Powers Explained

Werewolf by Night Elsa Bloodstone Laura Donnelly

The majority of Elsa Bloodstone's powers come from her inheritance of the magical stone. As a member of the Bloodstone family, Elsa was trained to be a monster hunter from a young age. She is proficient with various weaponry and incredibly skilled at hand-to-hand combat. Due to her father being imbued with the Bloodstone at her conception, Elsa naturally has some heightened abilities, including super strength and enhanced reflexes. Her powers are augmented when in possession of the stone. In the comics, she wears the stone on a choker, and it grants her further strength, regenerative abilities, and heightened resistance to most forms of physical harm. She also has access to her father's vast collection of powerful artifacts and knowledge of supernatural beings. The combination of all these things makes her the MCU's most powerful monster hunter.

Werewolf By Night is considered a standalone project, but Elsa Bloodstone will likely appear in more Marvel projects. Her comic counterpart has teamed with several of Marvel's heroes, including Dr. Strange and Ghost Rider. Elsa owning the Bloodstone will make her a powerful ally for the good guys and a nightmare for her foes.
