When two universes collide, things are bound to get more than a little crazy, especially if superpowered individuals with god-like abilities are involved. The MCU and the DCEU are both unique and wildly different from each other, despite sharing many similarities. And if the Marvel heroes ever met DC's champions, the result would be interesting, to say the least.

Lasting friendships could be formed through shared-experience and similar interests. Indeed, some of these people are so nice and extroverted, they could make friends with anyone. However, some pairings would result in instant catastrophe, proving that not all hero teams are meant to last.

Wouldn't Work: Cyborg & Winter Soldier

Ray Fisher as Cyborg and Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier

Two tortured souls learning how to deal with the world could find support in each other. However, when the souls in question are Victor Stone and Bucky Barnes, things won't go quite according to plan. They're both understandably distrustful of those around them and have a very hard time relating to others.

They share similarities, like the considerable power they both possess and somewhat resent, and a torturous past that refuses to stay buried. However, they also built tall and thick walls to protect themselves from a world that fears them, so it would take more than just a superficial connection to bring them down.

Would Work: Aquaman & Valkyrie

Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie

Uneasy lies the head that wears the Crown. So who better to understand a King than another King? Aquaman and Valkyrie are both new to the woes of ruling so they could support each other through the ordeal, learning from each other's vast experiences in the process,

They would go on epic drinking binges to see which of the two lasted longer, only to discover they both have a herculean resistance to liquor. And they could even act as each other's wing person, especially because Valkyrie is still single and in search of a Queen of her own.

Wouldn't Work: Batman & Thor

Ben Affleck as Batman and Chris Hemsworth as Thor

Batman and Thor would absolutely work together if necessary, they just wouldn't necessarily enjoy it. Batman's dark and brooding persona would instantly clash with Thor's new comedic and almost childish attitude, making for a very chaotic work dynamic.

The Caped Crusader and the God of Thunder wouldn't be at each other's throats but they certainly wouldn't be close friends either. They'd be the very definition of work colleagues, treating each other with respect and admiration, but painting a clear line between them, thus keeping their relationship strictly professional.

Would Work: Shazam & The Guardians Of The Galaxy

The Shazam Family and the Guardians of the Galaxy

And speaking of chaotic work dynamics, should Shazam ever join the Guardians of the Galaxy, the result would be extreme. Billy Batson fits perfectly with this lovable bunch of a-holes thanks to his prankster, laid-back persona, and proclivity for bending the rules.

Chaos would increase if Billy brought along his family, making it a real party. The Guardians would immediately welcome Captain Thunder into the group and he would probably remind them of their good pal Thor. Quill would definitely clash with Shazam, though, but always in a lowkey albeit mean-spirited way.

Wouldn't Work: Lois & Wanda

Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff

Undaunted, persistent, and compassionate, Lois Lane is definitely a hero despite her lack of powers. She's not afraid to go into the thick of battle, often putting herself at risk for the sake of finding the truth. Wanda too has shown her selfless and heroic nature, as well as her resilience after all that she's been through.

While these two could form a feeble friendship, Wanda's unpredictable behavior would make Lois uneasy and distrustful of the witch. Lois's curiosity would also lead her to investigate more about Wanda's powers and their nature, which could cause a rift between them, one that wouldn't be easy to mend.

Would Work: Wonder Woman & Gamora

Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Zoe Saldana as Gamora

Strong, warm, merciful, and idealistic, Wonder Woman and Gamora are examples of what a true warrior should be. Despite her tragic past working for Thanos, Gamora is someone who fought to become a better person, one who's willing to sacrifice herself for the greater good. Similarly, Diana follows her heart even when doing her duty, showing that she's as much a lover as she is a fighter.

They'd find common ground because of the pain and loss in their past and would help each other through the pain. They'd support and encourage one another and could even train together, becoming stronger and happier while doing it.

Wouldn't Work: Amanda Waller & Nick Fury

nick fury and amanda waller films

Waller and Fury are both used to things going their way. They're both extremely powerful in their respective universes and are always in control, always one step ahead of everyone else. Tactical, cunning, smart, and visionary, they're the masterminds behind a group of individuals who can do much more with their abilities.

Despite their obvious similarities, Waller is shamelessly crueler and more amoral than Fury. She's someone who doesn't care who lives or dies as long as she gets her way, whereas he cares about the one life as much as he does about the many. Fury wouldn't be interested in knowing Waller, knowing full-well what kind of person she is.

Would Work: Flash & Spider-Man

Ezra Miller as Flash and Tom Holland as Spider-Man

The youngest members of their respective teams, Barry and Peter are both overly enthusiastic young men who can't believe they somehow got involved with such powerful people. Quick-witted and very sharp, they're sometimes seen as the slightly annoying little brothers of their groups.

Together, they'd surely have all sorts of adventures. Their powers are very different, so they'd certainly have fun with them, all while talking about comic books, science, and even movies. They would also make quite the unstoppable crime-fighting pair, protecting NYC, Central City, and everything in between.

Wouldn't Work: Superman & Iron Man

Henry Cavill as Superman and Iron Man

Like Batman and Thor, Superman and Iron Man wouldn't quite see eye-to-eye. Clark is all about stoicism, duty, and self-sacrifice. Tony seemingly doesn't take things as seriously, despite having a very deep commitment to his role as a protector. However, he's also more willing to cross moral lines, understanding that sometimes, hands need to get a little dirty.

Superman's gloom would not be a good fit with Iron Man's wise-cracking personality. The two would work together if necessary, but they'd most likely hate the experience, each of them failing to find anything impressive, or redeeming, about the other.

Would Work: Harley Quinn & Loki

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Tom Hiddleston as Loki

This pairing would be utter chaos. Putting these two together and unleashing them upon the world would result in a lot of mischief, some property damage, and plenty of betrayals. Because they're both so unapologetically amoral, they would go with every plan the other had as long as it ultimately benefited them.

After a while, they'd actually learn to enjoy each other's company. They'd see they're not actually crazy or evil per se but just misunderstood and underappreciated. Sure, their ways of looking for that appreciation are the absolute worst, but at least they try.
