Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America, is one of the most beloved MCU superheroes. What's not to love? He's patriotic, loyal, charismatic, has incredible fighting skills and some of the most memorable lines in the franchise. Over the years, as Marvel has released films, there have been countless quotes that have inspired fans.

Take for example, the heartwarming line between Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), "till the end of the line." Since the first film, Captain America's lines have evolved from polite and old fashioned to a couple of crude words. While his monologues reign supreme, his one-liners take the cake and are a good chuckle at times.

"I Am Steve Rogers"

Even in the midst of the most important battle to save the world, introductions are needed. While Captain America has been a nomad and things were unraveling, he never actually met Groot (Vin Diesel). It's a comical moment when in the middle of an intense battle, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) introduces him to the beloved tree-like character.

As fans are aware, Groot has a special way of speaking. Captain America may not have known that, but regardless his "I am Steve Rogers," while gesturing to himself was sweet. It also caught people's attention that he referred to his full name.

"You Get Killed...Walk It Off"

Many would agree that Captain America is the best at giving a motivational speech during hard times. Besides his speech in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the short pep talk he gave during Avengers: Age of Ultron also deserves some praise and an eyebrow raise.

The team is fighting vigorously against Ultron (James Spader) while trying to save the town. Cap has some words of advice. The best part, "If you get killed...walk it off." While at the moment it sounds heroic, it's almost impossible. The foreshadowing that is done when the camera switches to Quicksilver, hurts a little bit.

"I Understood That Reference"

Poor Cap, being frozen in the ice for a number of years forced him to miss a lot of things. The best moment occurs in the first Avengers film, when he, Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor and Fury (Samuel L.Jackson) are discussing Loki's (Tom Hiddleston) plan.

Fury makes reference to how Loki got two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents under his control and refers to them as "flying monkeys." Thor has no idea what he's talking about, but Cap does. Hence his excitement to actually being able to get on board. Some fans still might not understand the reference themselves. Some say it pertains to The Wizard of Oz that came out in 1939. Cap was frozen in 1945.

"I Had A Date"

Steve looks to the distance while in NYC in The First Avenger.

This one-liner still gets fans emotional even years later and after many more films. The line was said in a post-credit scene in Captain America: The First AvengerIn this film, audiences are introduced to Steve Roger's before the super serum. Fans also see the unrequited love that Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) and Steve had.

Sadly, time wasn't on their side. Peggy makes Steve promise to take her dancing when he returns from his mission. In the post-credit scene, Steve wakes up more than 60 years later distraught. More importantly he missed his date with Peggy and his possible life with her.

"Hail, Hydra"

Gasps were heard all around when Cap whispered this phrase in Avengers: EndgameSpoiler warning. This came as a huge shock as fans remembered the comic Captain America: Steve Rogers No. 1, released in 2017. Cap uttered the same words. When fans heard Cap utter this phrase in the film, it caused many to shriek in bewilderment.

It was also a fun ploy by the Russo Brothers. The only way Cap could fool Hydra agents to bypass with the scepter was by making them believe he was one of them. The scene is also reminiscent of the famous elevator fight sequence in Winter Soldier.

"I Can Do This All Day"

"I can do this all day," is arguably one of the most popular lines said by Captain America. It also defines him as an individual. This line has been printed on t-shirts, bags, sweaters and even graduation caps. Before Captain America, Steve said the line when fighting off a bully.

It became a line that defined him. Cap was never one out back out of a fight or give up, even if he had to die trying. It inspired a lot of fans from the start. The lien was then turned around to add a bit of comedy in the last film.

"On Your Left"

Who would have thought that a simple one-liner in Captain America: The Winter Soldier would be a pivotal moment in the last film. In the film, Cap meets Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) while going on a run. Cap is inevitably faster and keeps passing Sam over and over while saying the line.

From this moment, they develop a special friendship. Fans uproared when Cap hears Sam utter the same line after they reverse the snap. The look of relief on Cap's face made it even better.

"Language"

Captain America shouts Language

Captain America lives during the 60's, it's no surprise he's old fashioned. Even when it comes to popular curse words. Hence came the best line Cap uttered on screen, "Language". It was simple, yet so effective in so many ways.

Iron Man let loose a frustrated, "sh*t" to which Cap automatically reflexed scolding, "language." Cap can be titled as being the mom of the group. It later turned into a running gag throughout the rest of the film initiated by Iron Man, of course.

"Let's Go Get This Son Of A B*tch"

Captain Americ has come a long from saying "language" by the last film. He is more adapted to modern times and is harboring some anger. He finally sees that there is nothing wrong with letting loose some bad words. Fan's were left gobsmacked when Cap said the line, "Let's get this son of b*itch."

It was safe to say that Cap was angry. The inclusion of the riveting Marvel them song made the scene epic. Fans also couldn't help but laugh at how far Cap has come since the first film. Only Thanos (Josh Brolin) could make Cap swear.

"That Is America's Ass"

Yes sir, it is. Taking the literal cake for the best one-line said by Captain America is this gem said when he faces a past version of himself in the last film. Prior to this scene, Scott gleefully let Cap know that his backside is certainly the backside of America.

Fans had a hoot over Stark and Scott discussing his backside for a full couple of minutes. It only got better as Cap defeated his past self. He couldn't help but look at his backside and agree by saying "That is America's ass." Fans lost it in theaters and it became an example of Marvel cinematic gold.
