In Ms. Marvel, Kamala's best friend, Bruno Carell, is slowly establishing himself as a fan favorite and one of the most intriguing characters in the MCU as a whole. The teenager motivates Kamala, helps her deal with her overbearing parents, and guides her through all the training needed to master her powers.

However, while he has certainly made a lasting impression on the viewers, some fans have begun to consider whether he could eventually become one of the best-supporting characters of all time. Since the MCU was established, many great supporting characters, like Bruno, have been introduced.  The few that have done so have gone on to be key parts of major storylines, hence proving to be as important as the legendary superheroes themselves. But who are they, according to Ranker?

Note: Ranker lists are live and continue to accrue votes, hence some rankings may change in the future.

Brunnhilde (Valkyrie)

Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie in Love and Thunder

The shield-maiden is initially hostile towards Thor, going as far as to sell him to The Grandmaster. She soon grows closer to him and helps him in his fight against Hela.

Apart from being a useful ally to Thor, Valkyrie has impressed fans in many other ways (most notably when she helps the surviving Asgardians flee from Thanos and relocate to Norway). And as a shield-maiden, she isn't just about hand-to-hand combat and entertainment. With her now the new King of New Asgard, fans are excited to see what she has gotten up to since the events of Avengers: Endgame and how her rule is going.

Shuri

T'Challa's sister is held in high regard because she is a member of the royal family. And as the leader of the Wakandan Design Group, Shuri is credited with inventing most of the nation's modern technology.

Shuri's resourcefulness remains unrivaled in the franchise. Fans can easily lose count of the number of times she has helped her brother and the Avengers. The new and more likable Winter Soldier wouldn't exist without her since she is the one that removes the HYDRA programming from his mind. She is different from most movie tech gurus too who are usually restricted to indoor scenes as she has been on the field multiple times. From pursuing Ulysses Klaue to fighting Killmonger, there is nothing she hasn't done.

Edward "Ned" Leeds

An ever proactive teenager, there is no favor Ned wouldn't do for Peter Parker. And he is known to really enjoy himself while helping out.

Ned's true gift is his sense of humor as he is always able to make even the most serious situations seem laughable. He is a true friend too, always proud of Peter and willing to cover for him. Moreover, he can't be thanked enough for bringing the variants of Peter Parker to Earth-616 (comics' Earth-199999), resulting in one of the biggest spectacles in the MCU.

Bucky Barnes

Bucky sees a therapist in The Falcon & The Winter Soldier

The World War II veteran never ages because he is one of the MCU characters who took the Super Soldier serum. He initially starts off as a brainwashed baddie before turning good and teaming up with Sam Wilson.

Bucky was already likable as a villain but his turn into a protagonist has made him even more popular. His cool factor is mostly tied to his cybernetic arm, which not only protects him from Vibranium-made weapons but also gives him greater strength than Captain America. Whether it's ripping open a S.H.I.E.L.D armored vehicle, or destroying Falcon's EXO-7 Falcon, no task is too great for the arm.Additionally, he also has an interesting character arc that fans have

Yondu Udonta

Yondu dying in space in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Peter Quill's adoptive father serves as the leader of a faction of the Ravagers, After Quill steals the Orb, the two clash before choosing to work together again.

Yondu doesn't always have indelible scenes but he endears himself to audiences in the biggest way possible when he sacrifices his life in the Batlle against Ego in order to save Quill. He somehow gives Hawkeye a run for his money too when it comes to shooting arrows. Whereas Hawkeye has to focus to get the right aim, Yondu can easily do so by whistling. Sadly, even though the MCU has introduced the idea of every character (sans America) having a variant, it doesn't look like the directors are planning on bringing him back for a cameo.

Heimdall

A portrait of Heimdall without his helmet in Thor

The former guard of Bifrost Bridge can hear and see everything that occurs in the Nine Realms. Sadly, he gets brutally murdered by Thanos before the Mad Titan wrecks havoc on the universe.

Heimdall isn't just valued by fans, he was also valued by Thor too (who was consumed with grief after his death and went on a quest for vengeance to avenge him). To date, Heimdalls' absence is still felt because of how big a helper he was to Thor and the Asgardians. He has a list of selfless deads that deserve commendation, from helping Thor destroy Malekith to evacuating Asgardians before Ragnarok.

Korg

Thor and Korg in Love and Thunder trailer

The Kronan warrior first meets Thor when he takes part in the Grandmaster's Contest of Champions. He then helps him and Hulk escape from Sakaar.

The majority of Korg's kind have a reputation for being intimidating brutes but the Kronan warrior is one of the funniest MCU characters and the major reason Thor: Ragnarok partly falls under the comedy genre. He is easier to relate to as well because his hobbies are human-like. Not only is he an expert at Rock, Paper, Scissors but can also play Fortnight.

Happy Hogan

Happy Hogan in a car looking at Spider-Man in No Way Home.

Happy starts out as the Head of Security of Stark Industries. He then falls in love with Peter Parker's guardian Aunt May while overseeing the mentorship of the teenage Avenger.

Having been an important part of the lives of two iconic MCU heroes, Happy holds a special place in the hearts of Marvel fans. He wasn't just an employee to Tony but a wingman too, and to Peter, he has acted as an unofficial guardian. And before one of the saddest MCU deaths, he proves to be a great partner to May too.

Luis

Luis showing excitement about their plans in Ant-Man.

Scott Lang's former cellmate becomes his unofficial sidekick soon after he becomes Ant-Man. Interestingly, his company is conveniently called X-Con Security Consultants.

Luis' loyalty isn't just limited to Scott but to other friends (such as Dave and Kurt Goreshter), who he helps out on several occasions. His moral compass is quite good too, such that he even takes time to save the life of a Pym Technologies security guard that he had incapacitated. More often than not, Luis also entertains by not knowing when to stop rambling. His endless stories have resulted in both uproarious and weird moments.

Wong

The current Sorcerer Supreme is also the librarian of the Kamar-Taj and the protector of New York's Sanctum. He has assisted Doctor Strange in many of his missions, including defeating Scarlet Witch.

Thanks to his stern nature, Wong is always able to keep Strange in check. As such, the Avenger rarely makes mistakes. Moreover, Wong isn't just a friend who cheers and gives advice. What Strange can do, he can do too. Among his impressive abilities is the ability to manipulate Eldritch Magic into shields or weapons as well as the ability to open portals using a sling ring.
