Though Scott Lang aka Ant-Man may not be the most formidable of the MCU heroes, he is likely the nicest. Even Scott's time in prison was due to him trying to help people and he is just the type of person who is very easy to like. Unsurprisingly, he has made some great friends in the MCU.

Scott's list of friends is a split between his job as a world-saving hero and his down-to-earth, everyman lifestyle. And whether they are superheroes or not, Scott has been lucky to have so many close companions looking out for him.

Sam Wilson

Scott gets some good practice becoming a superhero when he faces off with Falcon. Despite the two meeting each other in battle, the incident allows them to form an unexpected bond and makes Sam respect Scott at least a little.

At the end of Ant-Man, it is revealed that Sam is looking for Scott. But instead of punishing him, Sam is recruiting Scott to Captain America's team in Captain America: Civil War. This proves Sam trusts Scott a great deal.

Steve Rogers

No one is more excited to have Captain America as a friend than Scott Lang. As soon as he meets Steve Rogers, he is starstruck and makes things more than a little awkward. But Scott's willingness to join Steve's team in Captain America: Civil War immediately earns him a lot of respect.

From that point on, both Steve and Scott become loyal allies who are always there for each other. From Steve breaking Scott out of prison to Scott coming to Steve with an idea to undo "the Snap," they have been through a lot together.

Jim Paxton

It is a testament to Scott's likability that his ex-wife's new husband is one of his best friends. That certainly was not the case in the first Ant-Man movie as Paxton, a police officer, saw Scott as a reckless criminal who kept letting his daughter down.

However, Paxton gradually begins to see Scott as a true hero, even helping him avoid further legal trouble. By Ant-Man and the Wasp, these two are great friends with Paxton giving Scott a big hug as soon as he sees him and being very impressed at Scott's magic tricks.

Maggie Lang

Scott's relationship with his ex-wife Maggie is another one that was tense in the first movie only for them to form a strong bond by the sequel. Maggie is understandably upset with Scott's criminal behavior but knows that he is a good man and father to their daughter, Cassie Lang.

When Scott is under house arrest in Ant-Man and the Wasp, Maggie is very supportive and encouraging to him. She even shows anger towards the FBI and Agent Woo for giving Scott such a hard time.

Dave

When Scott gets out of jail, he moves in with a few fellow ex-convicts including Dave. Though Dave doesn't have a lot of screentime in the Ant-Man movies, it is clear that he and Scott are pretty good buddies.

As part of the dysfunctional crew, Dave helps Scott out in his missions and is a positive attitude in the group. The fact that Scott is willing to join the security business Dave and the others are running speaks to their friendship.

Kurt

Kurt is another member of the oddball crew and perhaps its weirdest member. He is often talking about witchcraft and ancient evil spirits, but he is also another good friend who has Scott's back, even in very dangerous situations.

Like the others, Scott can get confused by Kurt's strange behavior but also sees him as a valuable member of the team with his excellent tech skills that have helped save the day more than once.

Hulk

Despite Hulk being perhaps the strongest Avenger, he does have a soft side at times and can make friends. This is especially true when he becomes Smart Hulk and Bruce Banner's kinder personality takes over. With that change, Hulk becomes especially friendly to Scott.

It is almost like Hulk sees Scott as a little brother he has to look out for. This includes trying to convince some fans to take a selfie with him or offering him his tacos when Scott's are destroyed. In fact, that gift of tacos remains one of the nicest moments in the MCU.

Hank Pym

With his grumpy attitude and short temper, Hank Pym is not a popular supporting character in the MCU. And his relationship with Scott doesn't start out very friendly with Hank frequently insulting and using Scott.

However, in time, a mentor relationship begins to grow between these two. While Hank is not someone to speak from the heart. It becomes clear that he really does care about Scott, even if he does get frustrated with him a lot.

Hope Van Dyne

In terms of her treatment of Scott in the beginning, Hope very much takes after her father. She is rude, impatient, and unkind to him while also being frustrated that he was chosen to be Ant-Man. But like many others, Hope was won over by the fact that Scott is just a good person.

While Scott and Hope dance between friends and more-than-friends, their bond is very clear when she joins him as The Wasp. With their connection to each other and their mutual respect, they make for a wonderful hero duo.

Luis

While prison is not a typical place to meet a best friend, it works out very well for Scott and Luis. When Scott's legal troubles cause him to lose those closest to him, Luis is there for him and continues to be there long after.

From picking Scott up from prison to giving him a place to live to joining him on his missions, Luis is an extremely loyal friend. And though Scott might occasionally get annoyed with Luis's long and rambling stories, he is the one Scott always turns to when he is in need.
