McDreamy to Join the Autobots in Transformers 3

Let the casting rumors begin! /Film picked up on an interview given to a Brazilian website where Patrick Dempsey (aka Dr. McDreamy of TV's Grey's Anatomy) said he's going to start filming for Transformers 3 later this month. In the quote, he describes his character as being darker than the others. Could the franchise be getting its first human villain? Not that it would need one but, heck, why not. I'm not sure 'things that are necessary/make sense' are on the checklist for 'Stuff Going Into the Next Transformers Movie', but I mean, that's just my gut feeling.

The Ghost Whisperer's Jamie Kennedy also gave a telling interview with 8KUPD Arizona, wherein he stated that he'd had a phone conversation that seemed to set him up for a role in the film. Dempsey and Kennedy would be joining John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, and Ken Jeong as new cast members in the franchise. Who wants to take bets on which of them makes it to Transformers 4?

With Transformers 3 pre-shoots in progress and principal photography on the horizon, what are you guys hoping for in the next installment? We got a glimpse of robot heaven- maybe a trip to robot hell? Oh, wait. Already been there.
