The Pokémon 25th anniversary celebration this year continues with a new collection of Pokémon-themed items at McDonald's in Hong Kong. The fast-food restaurant recently rolled out a new meal, a new drink, and new dessert items, all served in Pikachu and Pokéball packaging. As fans know, this collaboration marks McDonald's second endeavor with The Pokémon Company this year, as the restaurant previously included exclusive Pokémon 25th anniversary trading cards in its Happy Meals.

All year long, The Pokémon Company has been celebrating 25 years of the wildly successful Pokémon franchise. The milestone anniversary has so far been marked by multiple brand collaborations, including Levi's, Mattel, Funko, Build-A-Bear Workshop, and more. The company even hosted a free Post Malone concert back in February to kick off the festivities, followed by a Universal Music Group with Katy Perry and other UMG artists. The celebration has so far been a blast for Pokémon fans, and there's no sign of it slowing down any time soon.

The latest celebratory launch comes as a McDonald's Hong Kong exclusive. As reported by Nintendo Soup, McDonald's "FAN-tastic campaign" features several new menu items. Some highlights include "Gillette Crispy Chicken Rice, Savory Tomato-Flavored Shake Shake Fries, Apple Custard, and White Peach Special Drink." These food items are only available at select McDonald's locations in Hong Kong and will be available for a limited time, while supplies last.

The official McDonald's campaign page shared a sneak peek at some of the awesome Pokémon packaging, including a Pokéball box for the fries and a Pikachu-patterned cup for the drink. The Banana Chocolate McFlurry and the Apple Custard Pie desserts will be served in yellow packaging with a large Pikachu face on the front. The full meal will be served in a Pikachu box.

Given the popularity of other Pokémon collaborations this year, it seems likely that these McDonald's menu items will sell out faster than one can say "gotta catch 'em all." The Pikachu cup and the Pokéball fries box would make awesome additions to any Pokémon fan's collection, after all. Of course, the collaboration may also attract scalpers, just as the McDonald's Pokémon Happy Meals did. Scalpers bought several Happy Meals at a time to get the Pokémon trading cards inside, leaving very few meals available for fans who just wanted a new collector's item. McDonald's was forced to restrict its Happy Meal purchases in some locations because of this.

There's no telling what the reaction will be to the new Pokémon menu items at McDonald's. Fans in Hong Kong may want to get their hands on the products as soon as possible, just in case.
