It's always tough to say goodbye to a good TV show but after The Fosters ended in the summer of 2018, it was announced that the series would get a spin-off called Good Trouble. It's about Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) as they move to L.A. and try to become adults. Of course, there is relationship drama, work drama, and basically every type of drama. It makes for a very juicy show.

Many of the personalities on Good Trouble clash with one another, which makes for good TV watching... but is pretty frustrating for all of the characters on the show, of course. From Mariana's coworkers who can't stand having a girl coding to the lawyers that Callie has to deal with, there are many fascinating people on this spin-off. Here is the MBTI® of each of the major characters on Good Trouble.

Judge Curtis Wilson: ISTJ

Judge Curtis Wilson (Roger Bart) is a judge which means that he's impersonal and impartial. He can't show his opinions and he can't seem to have any bias. His MTBI® would be ISTJ or "Responsible Realist."

ISTJs "typically enjoy working within clearly defined systems and processes in a traditional, task-oriented, decisive way" and this describes Judge Wilson since he has chosen to work within the legal system. He is "thorough" and is also someone who "values traditions" like when he invites Callie and the two other clerks over to have lunch and also play a game.

Rebecca: ENTP

Molly McCook's clerk Rebecca is an ENTP or "Enterprising Explorer" because she sounds like the description: she can "solve problems creatively and are often innovative in their way of thinking, seeing connections and patterns within a system." Rebecca proves this most obviously when it seems like she is always trying to trick Callie and she is always attempting to be one step ahead of her at work.

Rebecca is "challenging" and she likes to "spur others on." She is definitely competitive and "strategic" and seems to do well at her job. She knows that the Judge tends to pile on the workload and she handles it all with dignity and pride.

 Alice Kwan: ISFP

Sherry Cola plays Alice Kwan who is Callie and Mariana's roommate in the Co-Op that they move into. Alice is a kind-hearted person who finds herself having to make tough decisions when she is in charge of everyone living there. In a charming and funny episode, she has to stand up for herself and tell everyone that she's not going to provide free toilet paper all the time anymore. She figures there will be an uprising and people will be pissed... but it's all good.

Alice's MBTI® would be ISFP or "Versatile Supporter." ISFPs "enjoy providing practical help or service to others" which is what Alice does (at least, until she gets mad about T.P. and goes rogue). Alice is "caring" and "trusting" -- sometimes to a fault, like when she is always there for her ex-girlfriend who treats her badly and takes advantage of her.

Alex Wood: INTJ

Dustin Ingram plays Alex Wood who works with Mariana. He's incredibly intimidated because of the fact that she is a girl who can code (perhaps even better than he even can) and he tries not to give her the chances that she deserves.

Alex's MBTI® is INTJ or "Conceptual Planner." He is "demanding" of his team and wants everyone to do their best work (as long as he gets the credit though, which doesn't make him the most endearing person). INTJs don't like "challenging my competence" which sounds like Alex since he's not big on listening to other people's ideas.

 Raj Patil: ISFJ

Dhruv Uday Singh plays Raj Patil who works with Mariana as well. He's incredibly nice and the only person who respects her and, honestly, even talks to her.

Raj struggles with standing up for himself and wants to be a friendly team player who doesn't cause any issues. That makes him an ISFJ or "Practical Helper." He is "thoughtful of others" and "sensitive."

Davia: ESFP

Emma Hunton plays Davia, another one of Callie and Mariana's roommates. She is an ESFP or "Enthusiastic Improviser."

ESFPs are "adaptable, friendly, and expressive. They enjoy life and being around people. They usually enjoy working with others and experiencing new situations." Davia is happy to have fun with her roomies whenever and really embraces the dinners that they have together.

Davia runs into some, well, trouble (but not the good kind of trouble) when everyone discovers that she is dating a guy from back home who, oops, is actually married. She is all about body positivity and has a social media account. ESFPs don't like being "uncertain of my purpose" and that is totally Davia as she teaches but isn't quite sure what to do with her life.

Jamie Hunter: ENFJ

Jamie Hunter (Beau Mirchoff) was first introduced during the finale special of The Fosters because his sister, Eliza, married Callie and Mariana's brother Brandon.

Since he's a lawyer in L.A., he's on Good Trouble and he and Callie have interacted a bit. It often seems like he and Callie like each other and he always seems to have his eye on her. His MBTI® would be ENFJ or "Compassionate Facilitator" because he is always willing to assist Callie when she has something going on. He is "supportive" and someone who will "help others." He is also "people-oriented" since he seems up for a good time.

 Gael Martinez: INFP

Tommy Martinez plays Gael, an artist who lives with Callie and Mariana. He and Callie start an intimate relationship (and since he's also dating someone else, there is definitely drama).

Gael is an INFP or "Thoughtful Idealist" and he is "creative" and "complex." He's also "introspective" and seems very mysterious. INFPs don't like "decisions" and Gael doesn't, either, especially not choosing between his art and his practical job (at the same place where Mariana works, actually).

 Mariana Adams Foster: ESTP

Mariana has a fiery personality and doesn't care if someone says something is wrong, it's what she is going to do. She is the one who finds the Co-op apartment and basically ignores the fact that, well, it's a Co-op and Callie might not be that pleased (and, of course, Callie isn't happy about it).

Mariana is an ESTP or "Energetic Problem-Solver." She is "outgoing" and is the kind of person who would literally walk up to a stranger and tell them her whole life's tale. She is "inventive" as well." ESTPs are said to like "taking risks" at the office which is what does. She even talks to the head of the company where she works while in the elevator with him and pitches to him, despite everyone saying that kind of thing just isn't done.

Callie Adams Foster: INFP

Like Gael, Callie is an INFP because she also is "idealistic" and "devoted." Callie is always going to be the kind of person who stands up for her belief systems, even if they get her into trouble (the title of the show definitely makes sense now) and even if her job could be on the line. For example, she knows that there is a conflict because she is working on a certain case and her roommate is involved in it too, but she sticks to what she knows is right and keeps going.

Callie is also a "deep" and "complex" person. She is a fascinating character and makes both Good Trouble and The Fosters such layered shows.
