The MBTI® or Myers-Briggs test is a popular personality assessment that matches you to the 16 personality types a human can have. It goes into detail and accurately finds which personality type you are according to who you are in public and in private.

The beauty of the test is anyone can take it, even fictional characters. So we thought it would be fun to determine which personality types were most commonly heroes and which types were villains. Using the heroes and villains of the MCU, here are the most common personalities that are good, and which are villains.

VILLAIN: ENFP (The Punisher, Deadpool, Loki)

ENFPs are the anti-heroes of villains. They don't mean to be bad or they don't necessarily have bad intentions but are nevertheless a type of villain or anti-hero. Most of the time their plans lack a little bit of empathy or they're careless about who they hurt which constantly have them clashing with the heroes of the story.

ENFPs are dangerous because they're not afraid to die for their cause and they have radiating confidence and an uncanny ability to get into a hero's head and make them think twice about their allegiances.

HERO: INFP (Spider-man, Captain America, Foggy Nelson)

They are the best mediators. Their optimism allows them to be understanding of all points of views and they are usually the last to resort to violence or angry outburst.

Their optimism is inspirational and their willingness to give anyone a chance no matter what makes them favored heroes and people everyone wants to be around

VILLAIN: ENTP (Ultron, Baron Zemo, Kilmonger)

ENTPs are arguably the most common type of villain personality types because they love to watch the world burn and play by their own rules. Often times these personality types are villains because they are told "no" or they don't agree with certain rules put on by the hero.

What makes ENTPs great villains is the elaborate plots that allow them to stay 10 steps ahead of the hero and have them running around playing cat and mouse.

HERO: INTP (Bruce Banner, Hank Pym, Howard Stark)

INTPs are logical thinkers, introverted by nature and a little scatter-brained but nonetheless scholars who prefer peace over violence. Most INTPs are scientists/engineers because of their way of thinking and quest for proving points and such.

Although they don't have a clear plan, they try to stick to what they know and although their temper can get the best of them, they try to avoid conflict.

VILLAIN: ESFP (Wilson Fisk, Justin Hammer, Red Skull)

ESFPs are known for being the center of attention, energetic, and used to the spotlight. As villains, their bursts of emotions make them unpredictable and temperamental. They are narcissists with violent tendencies when they don't get their way and are controlling to everyone around them

It's their ego and arrogance that makes them a foe and their violent nature that make them dangerous to the public

HERO: INFJ (Rocket Raccoon, Peter Quill, Daredevil )

INFJs are waiting for the call to heroics. They want to do something that brings meaning to their lives, this comes off as selfish as they often only do things that benefit them, but they are nonetheless heroes because of their value for relationships and friends.

Simply put, they don't often take risks, they like to be in positive standings with everyone and can't risk anything that would compromise that. They would rather get hurt themselves than ever put their loved ones at risk.

VILLAIN: ESTP (Obadiah Stane, Kaecillius)

ESTPs are the boss of the villains. They have a devoted team of mindless followers and rule with fear and an iron fist. Another personality type with violent tendencies you really don't want to make mad or disappoint.

They have little tolerance for failure or mistakes, killing his goons on a daily to prove his point. As the boss of a crime organization, they refuse to get their hands dirty and live in the shadows.

HERO: ISFJ ( Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Quake, Iron Man )

ISFJs are fierce protectors, ready to take on anyone who poses a threat to their loved ones. as protectors, they don't care how big or intimidating you are, they will fight with all they have.

Don't let their good nature fool you, their will power and optimism make them a great hero with an amazing drive to do good.

VILLAIN: ENFJ (Dormammu, Thanos, Madame Gao, Hela)

These villains often have a God complex, manipulating millions to follow them as a Messiah or God. They have a picture plan and are often misguided, willing to sacrifice millions to get their way.

They are often the most level-headed of villains, living by a certain code and not often seen as villains, at first. Nevertheless, they are super petty, retaliating in cold blood when they feel they have been crossed.

HERO: ISTJ (Nebula, Bucky Barnes, Black Widow, Mantis)

ISTJs are well known for putting other's interests in front of their own, making them truly heroic. As introverts, they are often loners but have no problem working with a team and being the logical thinkers of the group.

They are a bit tough to read due to their solitary nature, but are extremely selfless and are the first to volunteer to do a dangerous mission.
