It was recently announced that the fifth season of the series Mayans MC would be the last. The show has stood out on its own while also keeping its connections to the original Sons of Anarchy. The show has been able to forge its own path with a new story and new characters at the center.

However, existing within the same world as Sons of Anarchy has led to a lot of connections to the predecessor. This has included several appearances from characters who appeared on that show first. It will be interesting to see who else might crossover in the final season, but fans can look back on which Sons of Anarchy characters have appeared on Mayans MC so far.

Chucky

Chuck in Sons Of Anarchy

Chucky was one of the few Sons of Anarchy characters who were neither evil nor violent. He was first introduced in the original series as a weirdo and serial masturbator who was seeking protection from SAMCRO. He offered them a large sum, only for the cash to turn out to be fake.

SAMCRO then traded him off to the Triads who cut off his fingers because of his inability to control his sexual urges. He later came back to work at SAMCRO's clubhouse and proved to be a loyal servant. He was last seen worrying about Gemma when Jax was going to kill her. Chucky was brought back during the first season of Mayans MC, this time as the bookkeeper of the Mayans Motorcycle Club.

Lincoln Potter

Lincoln Potter in Sons of Anarchy

In Sons Of Anarchy, Assistant U.S Attorney Lincoln Potter was doing his best to bring down SAMCRO, courtesy of the RICO case, but his efforts were put to a halt because of the wishes of superior government agencies were greater than his. The CIA wanted the Sons to continue supplying guns, so Potter was forced to back off.

In Mayans MC, Potter first showed in the sixth episode of Season One titled "Gato/Mis" to spy on the Mayans' clubhouse. He had now shifted his focus to the Mayans and the Galindo Cartel. He was more active in Season 2 as he hired a group of mercenaries to take out the Los Olvidados group

Gemma

Katey Segal as Gemma in Mayans MC

If it wasn't for Katey Sagal's exemplary performance in her role, Gemma would be the most hated TV character of all time. Her list of sins could even make the devil flinch. Yet she was undeniably tough and one of the bravest non-biker characters on the show.

Gemma still appeared in Mayans MC in a flashback scene. She was shown visiting a SAMCRO member at Stockton prison. It is during this visit that she meets the protagonist of the spin-off, Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes.

Marcus Alvarez

Emilio Rivera as Marcus Alvarez in Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC

Mayans President Marcus Alvarez was first introduced in Sons Of Anarchy as a major adversary of the Sons. He ordered his club to steal guns from SAMCRO, something which put the two biker gangs at war for some time. However, as the series progressed, Mayans became an ally to SAMCRO, thanks to him having common enemies with them.

His appearance in Mayans MC was expected. At the start of the spin-off series, he was still the president of the Oakland charter of the club. This time, he was wearing an "El Padrino" patch, which means "Godfather" in Spanish.

Happy

Mayans MC - Happy Lowman

Happy was one of the most ruthless and bravest SAMCRO members. He started out as a Nomad before becoming a full-time member of the Charming charter. He didn't talk much either, despite appearing frequently in the series.

In the first season of Mayans MC, Happy was back again, this time with a grey beard. He was revealed as the person that killed the mother of EZ and Angel. He committed the act during his time as a Nomad and EZ just happened to see him fleeing. In Season 2, he was tortured by EZ and Angel until he eventually revealed that it was SAMDINO's President Les Packer who ordered him to kill their parents.

Chibs

Mayans MC - Chibs

Chibs was one of the more sober SAMCRO members and considered by some to be the best character in Sons of Anarchy. He was neither reckless nor unnecessarily violent. He also had the luxury of dating a sheriff, something most gangsters would only dream of. It's also hard to forget his rivalry with Irish gangster Jimmy O. At the end of the series, Chibs was rewarded with the position of SAMCRO President when "Jackie Boy" (as he often referred to Jax) vacated the seat.

Chibs would show up again in the Season 2 episode of Mayans MC titled "Kukulkan" to discuss a gun deal with the Mayans and the Valtos Malditos. That deal didn't go so well, with the two factions choosing to go to war instead.

Rane Quinn

Mayans MC - Rane Quinn

Quinn was never given much of a solid storyline in the original series but he often appeared in scenes where all SAMCRO members were shown at the same time. Before becoming a SAMCRO member, he was the president of the Nomad charter as well as a member of the Indian Hills charter.

After the death of Jax, Quinn stayed with SAMCRO. He was seen in the Season One finale of Mayans MC with Happy when the two showed up at the Mayans' clubhouse for a celebration. He was seen again in Season 2 as Chibs and the Mayans discussed a deal that would help both clubs transport guns from Mexico.

Les Packer

San Bernadino President Les Packer arrives in Charming to meet Jax.

San Bernardino charter President Les Packer made his debut in Season 6's fourth episode titled "Wolfsangel" to inform Jax that his charter didn't want to take over the gun business as Jax wished. He later appeared in Season 7 as Jax confessed to killing Jury and asked another president to decide his fate.

Packer showed up again in the pilot episode of Mayans M.C. He was responding to a request from Marcus Alvarez to provide support to the Santo Padre Charter during an ongoing war. In Season 2, it was revealed that, together with Happy, Packer was also responsible for the death of EZ's mother. .

Montez

Mayans MC - Montez

Allesandro Montez was recruited by Bobby in Season 6 to boost SAMCRO's numbers since so many people were dying. He thus made the switch from the Nevada charter and continued to appear for brief periods in each episode.

Montez would later appear in Mayans MC as Chibs was discussing the gun deal. It was also revealed that after the death of Jax, Montez had been promoted to Road Captain. It was also revealed that he was a friend of Valtos Malditos president El Palo. He was later killed off and his death led to a war between SAMCRO and the Mayans.

Oscar "El Oso" Ramos

Ramos sitting in the backseat of a cop car in Mayans MC

Oscar "El Oso" Ramos was introduced in the final season of Sons of Anarchy as one of the so-called Rey De Los Mayas aka "Kings of the Mayans." However, he left the club to join a cartel when he was last seen.

Ramos reappeared in season 2 of Mayans MC where he became a recurring character who had cartel business with the Mayans. He is also the only character thus far to have survived Sons of Anarchy only to die in the spinoff with his demise in season 3.

Tig

Kim Coates as Tig on Sons of Anarchy

One of the few Sons of Anarchy characters who survived to the end is Tig, which is surprising given his wild nature. He was the loose cannon of the group, responsible for some truly brutal moments while also experiencing more than a little heartbreaking himself.

Tig remained the only one of the surviving characters from Sons of Anarchy not to appear on Mayans MC. However, that was finally changed with his brief appearance in the season four finale. As vice president of Charming's chapter of the Sons of Anarchy, he negotiates with the Mayans to come to a ceasefire.
