The first poster for The Matrix Resurrections has been revealed on the website for the upcoming movie and each look gives a unique teaser for the upcoming film. The fourth Matrix film will see Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss return in their iconic roles of Neo and Trinity, with Jada Pinkett Smith also set to return as Niobe from the original trilogy. Watchmen star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is also set to appear, possibly as a young version of Laurence Fishburne's Morpheus, the one to bring Neo into the matrix. Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henwick, and Christina Ricci are also set to appear.

According to footage of The Matrix Resurrections from CinemaCon, Harris will play a therapist to Neo in the matrix. The footage also revealed that Neo may not know who he is when he appears back in the simulation, with one scene showing him reuniting with Trinity in a moment of unknown familiarity. With The Matrix Resurrections just a few months out from its December release, Warner Bros. is gearing up to promote the film and although a trailer hasn't been released yet, new teasers have been unveiled.

Released via the movie's official website (WhatIsTheMatrix), users are presented with a blue pill and a red pill against a white backdrop. Either one is clickable and each time a unique teaser is given featuring first look footage and voice overs from the film's stars. In one, Reeves can be seen as Neo while other clips show the franchise's trademark action. Another shows Groff's character getting his mouth closed shut. Each variation is unique and teases the upcoming release of the trailer.

Interestingly, there are two narrators for each respective pill. The red pill, which is the one that freed Neo from the simulation all those years ago, is always narrated by Adbul-Mateen's character, while the blue pill, the one that would've kept Neo inside the matrix, is narrated by Harris' character. With rumors that Abdul-Mateen's character is a young Morpheus, the videos certainly seem to hint that Harris' therapist character is not one of the good guys and quite possibly hellbent on keeping Neo inside the matrix. With the clips of Harris' character speaking also showing Neo taking a lot of blue pills, it's safe to say that machines don't want him to escape.

Interestingly, the teasers also show how Neo could return to the real world. One brief glimpse shows some sort of machine bringing to life what looks to be Abdul-Mateen's Morpheus. This could be one way that Neo and Trinity escape the matrix and make their way back into the real world to stop another machine uprising. Luckily, it won't be long before a full clip is released, with The Matrix Resurrections' first trailer coming this Thursday.
