After the emotional season 2 finale a few months ago, the official He-Man and the Masters of the Universe season 3 trailer has arrived teasing an explosive new chapter. Developed by Rob David, the CGI Netflix series serves as a reimagining of the 1983 show of the same name centered on Prince Adam as he discovers a Power Sword that transforms him into the titular hero and allows him the ability to discover the secrets of his past and fight Skeletor and his evil forces to save Eternia. Yuri Lowenthal leads the cast of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe as Prince Adam alongside Kimberly Brooks, Judy Alice Lee, David Kaye, Antony Del Rio, Benjamin Diskin, Roger Craig Smith, Grey Griffin, Trevor Devall and Fred Tatasciore.

Prior to its 2021 premiere, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe divided fans of the series for its CGI overhaul and seemingly family-friendly tone in comparison to both the original show and Kevin Smith's Masters of the Universe: Revelation series. In spite of this, the reboot scored largely favorable reviews from critics and audiences alike upon its release, with season 2 similarly seeing strong reviews from the latter group. After He-Man and the Masters of the Universe season 3's recent confirmation from Netflix, audiences are now getting their first glimpse at what's to come from the show's return.

As part of the studio's San Diego Comic-Con panel, Mattel and Netflix have released the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe season 3 trailer. In addition to revealing the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe season 3 trailer, the first plot details have been revealed for the next chapter in the series, which will see the titular heroes on the run from Skeletor's ghost and his undead Snake Men. Interestingly, the synopsis also teases the returns of Orko the Great, now voiced by Wallace Shawn after Tom Kenny took on the role for Kevin Smith's Masters of the Universe series, and iconic franchise villain Mer-Man, with original Star Trek Sulu actor George Takei voicing the character. Given both characters exist in largely different regions of Eternia, their inclusion in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe season 3 seems to indicate the heroic group will venture through a variety of areas in their quest to save the world from Skeletor.

The most interesting takeaway from the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe season 3 trailer is the look at how the group will continue to come to terms with their friend Krass having turned to the dark side after being influenced by Skeletor in season 2. The trailer indicates their struggle will be more than emotional as Prince Adam and his friends look to be going to battle more than once against their former ally, now named Rampage. Only time will tell if the group can save both their friend and Eternia when He-Man and the Masters of the Universe season 3 hits Netflix on August 18.
