Mattel Inc. and Dark Horse Direct have announced a line of limited-edition prints of the covers for the Masters of the Universe: Revelation comic. The comic is the official prequel to Netflix and Mattel Television's animated series of the same name. The first two prints of the line showcase the stunning variant covers of the comic's first issue, which was released on July 7, 2021, from writers Kevin Smith, Rob David, and Tim Sheridan, and interior artist Mindy Lee.

The comic, a four-issue miniseries, fills in the events of the Masters of the Universe world leading up to the first episode of the animated series. In it, He-Man goes on an epic journey to save his father, King Randor, after he is attacked by a creature connected with He-Man's Sword of Power. This quest pits him against his arch-rival, Skeletor, and sees his friend Teela take up the legacy of her father, Man-At-Arms. While the show has garnered some controversy over its creative decisions, it has been generally popular with critics, as has its comic book tie-in.

Now, fans can own high-quality versions of the comic's cover art. These hand-numbered lithograph prints are printed on 11" x 17" archival paper and limited to pre-orders, with a guarantee they will not be reproduced at a later date. They are expected to be shipped to customers between October and November of 2021. The first of the two lithographs is by Stjepan Sejic, a Croatian writer and artist known for work on He-Man: The Eternity War and Sunstone, among others. The image is a dynamic shot of He-Man along with his rivals and allies, capturing the exciting, action-packed tone of the Masters of the Universe reboot. If you're interested in pre-ordering Sejic's print, it can be found here.

The second print is a piece by Mike Mignola and colorist Dave Stewart. Mignola is a writer and artist famous for gothic fantasy works such as Hellboy and Baltimore. It features a moodier take on the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe franchise, with hellish oranges contrasting the dark green-and-black background as Skeletor looms over He-Man. Mignola and Stewart's piece can be pre-ordered here.
