To say that I was unprepared for the reaction that we've gotten for this season is an understatement. It's a love fest. People absolutely are saying the nicest things they've ever said about my work. Right now, that series has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Go look at every other Kevin Smith project, see if you can find one of those. We opened in the top 10 at number six. I think today we're at like number nine, but it's staying alive and thriving and the fans are saying such lovely things. It feels really good when you hear from people who were like, "I did not like what you did last time. I thought you broke it, and boy did you guys fix it and stick the landing." I was just prepared for like, "Well here it comes again, it's going to be like last time and people are going to be mad at me." Not at all and they saw how much love and effort that we put into it. So thank you everybody who's watching the show.
Masters Of The Universe: Revolution Ending Explained
The big battle in Masters of the Universe: Revolution's ending shook up the status quo for several of the franchise's flagship characters.
Masters Of The Universe: Revelation Vs. Revolution Audience Reactions Explained
Released on Netflix in two parts in July and November 2021, Masters of the Universe: Revelation caused controversy for its creative choices and received divisive reactions from die-hard fans. Many were displeased with the decision to focus more on Teela rather than He-Man/Prince Adam, along with how many iconic characters from the original series were killed off. As a result, Masters of the Universe: Revelation was review bombed and its Rotten Tomatoes score sunk to 38 percent for both parts. However, the show did receive rave reviews from critics.
RT Critics Score | RT Audience Score | |
|---|---|---|
Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 1 | 94% | 38% |
Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 2 | 92% | 38% |
Masters of the Universe: Revolution | 100% | 84% |
As Smith's reaction indicates, Revolution is now receiving rave responses from audiences as well, even from some of those who were displeased with Revelation. As a result, Masters of the Universe: Revolution's audience score is much stronger at 84%, while also boasting a 100% score from critics, based on just 10 reviews at the time of writing. Nevertheless, as Smith mentions, this is his first perfect score for any project on Rotten Tomatoes, let alone a massive improvement from Revelation's audience score.
