In each game in the Mass Effect series getting your hands on as many credits as possible is a very important thing. Credits can in turn be spent to beef up Shepard's armor and weapons or purchase other useful items for the journey. Players should focus on getting as many credits as they possibly can if they want to ensure that Shepard is well prepared for their journey.

Each game has its own methods of acquiring credits quickly, but the first one was one that didn't have a lot of methods for getting cash fast. Those who want to get rich need to follow a series of steps to increase their wealth or be willing to exploit the game's systems. While it takes a little bit of know-how these methods can be very lucrative though. This guide shows players how to earn a lot of credits fast in Mass Effect.

Mass Effect: How to Earn Credits Fast

Mass Effect First Contact War

There are a few different ways that players can use to earn a huge amount of credits quickly. These methods are:

Selling Old Gear - If the player has been running around the galaxy for awhile completing missions they will probably have quite a weapon types and other items in their inventory weighing them down. If that is the case then they can always just find their nearest shopkeeper and sell off anything that they aren't using to rack up some quick credits. Odds are the player won't need any special items for most missions and will instead just use whatever their most powerful gear is, so they shouldn't feel too bad about selling it off for whatever price they wish.

Start Gambling - If the player goes to the Silver Coast Casino or Flux Nightclub they can actually invest much of their hard-earned credits by gambling it at a nearby Quasar machine. This game is effectively Blackjack, so the player is trying to get as close to the number 20 (not 21) without going over. A great way to win as often as possible is to play carefully depending on what number the player begins at. Since the game has been out for so long dedicated fans have been able to crunch the numbers and determine the best choice no matter what number the player has. If they have 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, or 15 they should select the 4-7 option and if they have 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, or 16 they should select 1-8. If they end up with the numbers 17 to 20 then the player should select stay. This won't ensure they win every time but it will give them the greatest chance of earning a profit.

Trade With Dr. Michel - Once players have completed the side quest for Dr. Chloe Michel they will then be able to purchase items from the doctor at a drastically discounted price. What is interesting as well though is that she will also purchase items from the player at a higher rate too. This means that players can sell off any unwanted gear from Michel to gain a decent amount of credits and then travel to another shopkeeper to spend all their money on purchasing random items. They can then travel back to Dr. Michel to sell all of that off to make a profit off of these items. This can be done over and over again to earn a huge amount of money.
