This season of The Masked Singer has thrown fans a few curveballs in its many attempts to make guessing the identities of each singing celebrity even more challenging. Few are more difficult to guess than Baby Alien, and yet we think we've got the answer.

Arguably the best part of The Masked Singer is guessing the identities of the celebrities hiding behind the glamourous masks. The show goes out of its way to protect the anonymity of its singers. They throw in red herring clues that play into the popular guesses. Each season they've found a way to make it more difficult, and this season is no different. With the addition of a duo costume, they gave fans not one but two celebrities to guess in one costume.

Baby Alien has introduced a new challenge by removing viewers' ability to see the body type of the celebrity inside the costume, and even attempting to disguise the height. However, the show didn't quite fool eagle-eyed fans. They noticed that, during a clip showing the creation process for the Baby Alien costume, the show showed the harness the celebrity would wear and its location inside the ball that the Baby Alien puppet is in. When comparing the costume size to host Nick Cannon, it's hard to come up with an exact height, but rather easy to see that Baby Alien isn't particularly short. He looks to be fairly close in height to Nick, who is 6'1". This rules out a common guess of actor Seth Green, who fits the clues very well but is not tall enough to fit this window at all. Other popular guesses have included She's All That actor Freddie Prinze Jr. and How I Met Your Mother's Jason Segel. Both are very good guesses. However, there is someone who fits even better.

Our guess is voice actor Sam Riegel, who you can hear sing in the video above and compare to Baby Alien. While many of the clues fit either Freddie Prinze Jr or Jason Segel, the Broadway clue as a child seemed significant and fits well with Riegel, who did two national tours of Les Miserables as a child. While there is no evidence that he was at the Tony's, the clue about being on a Tony stage fits, as he has performed on a stage that also hosted the Tony's. The "stuck in second gear" clue had many trying to find a connection to the TV series Friends, but this seems like it could be a more direct clue. Sam has done not one but two video games with "gear" in the title. He voiced a character for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and later did his second gear-titled video game when he voiced characters in Gears of War: Judgment. The ninja clues also fit, as Riegel has not only played Donatello in multiple Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle video games, but he also did voice work for Ninja Gaiden 3. The stake could point to voice work he has done for Blade, a vampire TV mini-series, or a vampire character he has done on Critical Role. Speaking of Critical Role, something Riegel is most commonly known for, it has been five years since it started in 2015. There was a number five in the stars. Some fans think the Liberty Bell points to the fact that Riegel was born in 1976, 200 years after the bell rang out in 1776 summoning citizens to the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence.

There was also a horseshoe in the clues, and Riegel had an ongoing bit on Critical Role that involved him trolling a coworker as a Colts fan. Several sharp fans noticed that the bubble hair on Baby Alien in the clue package looked like Phoenix Wright, an iconic character he has voiced and even worn as a Halloween costume. But the most telling clue is a deleted tweet. While it is no longer available, many fans said his tweet from the night of The Masked Singer appearance of Baby Alien singing George Michael's hit "Faith" is the ultimate evidence. Fans say a tweet that reads “It's a bourbon and BTS kinda night” originally read, “It's a bourbon and George Michael kinda night.” The tweet, however, was deleted fairly quickly and replaced. The tweet definitely points to Sam Riegel under the Baby Alien mask, but Jason Segel is still a strong possibility. Many of the clues align with the How I Met Your Mother star as well, so fans will just have to wait and see who emerges from the costume.
