Emily Ratajkowski has come out with a shocking allegation, claiming The Masked Singer panelist Robin Thicke groped her on the set of his "Blurred Lines" music video in 2013. Emily was one of three women who starred in the video, as well as the unrated version in which all three women appeared topless. The song and music video, which features both Pharrell Williams and T.I., sparked a lot of controversy upon its release eight years ago. "Blurred Lines," which was the lead single on Robin's sixth album, also called Blurred Lines, was heavily criticized for its irresponsible lyrics and message. Many people believed the song trivialized sexual violence and objectified women.

This is not the first time Emily has spoken out about the objectification of her body. In September 2020, she wrote an essay discussing all the ways she's been objectified as a young female celebrity. One of them included a lawsuit in which she was sued for posting a paparazzi photo of herself on Instagram. Another was the time nude photos of her leaked and were published online for anyone to see. Aside from appearing in music videos, Emily is a model who has also starred on iCarly and Entourage.

In her new book, My Body, out November 11, Emily is opening up about an experience she's never spoken about before: being groped by Robin. According to ET, Emily initially felt very comfortable on the all-female set. But she explained that her comfortability ended quickly. Emily wrote, "Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the coolness and foreignness of a stranger's hands cupping my bare breasts from behind. I instinctively moved away, looking back at Robin Thicke." She continues, "He smiled a goofy grin and stumbled backward, his eyes concealed behind his sunglasses."

Director Diane Martel confirmed that she was present for the incident. She stated that upon witnessing Robin's actions, she yelled, "What the **** are you doing. That's it! The shoot is over!" Emily stated Robin was drunk when he groped her, and Diane agreed. The director believed he would not have done it if he had been sober. Diane added that Robin later apologized for his actions, knowing that what he had done was wrong.

No one on the set of the video mentioned the incident before, but according to Emily's book, it seemed she was too humiliated to acknowledge what had happened to her let alone speak out about it. Since the news broke, The Masked Singer star Robin has remained quiet as Twitter users jumped to Emily's defense. Though he hasn't spoken out yet, it will be hard for him to remain silent on such a controversial topic. For Emily, speaking out on such a dark experience was surely an act of bravery that, sadly, many will relate to and thank her for.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8pm on FOX.
