The first performance of Raccoon on The Masked Singer season five was "Wild Things" by The Troggs. While the performance may not have proven his talent as a singer, his skills as an actor are not at all in question. The actor behind the Raccoon mask is one of the most prolific television and film talents around. The odds of Raccoon being the one to leave this week are high, so this might be the last chance to correctly predict his identity.

Judges' guesses for Raccoon seem to be in the right wheelhouse. They are predicting an older, well-known actor who plays rough characters like Gary Busey and Nick Nolte. Some noted Raccoon appeared to be smaller in stature. Robin Thicke took this into consideration when he made his guess of actor Joe Pesci. Another panelist guessed Danny Devito. The most out-of-the-box guess of the night was boxer Mike Tyson.

Who Is Raccoon? Masked Singer Identity Theory: Danny Trejo

The biggest clue fans got to the identity of Raccoon was his personal story, which many immediately recognized as very similar to Danny Trejo's. Raccoon spoke of going through hell and not being innocent, but promising God if he got another chance he'd only do good in the future. Trejo may have been racking up a pretty long list of acting credits since the 80s, but before that, it was a rap sheet he was building. After 11 years in and out of prison, he managed to avoid the most serious charge of all after a prison riot, where he prayed to God to let him make it through so he could make a change, and he did. If this doesn't convince you, he is so well known that his voice is difficult to disguise. Just listen to any of his performances and then listen to Raccoon.

Week 1 Raccoon's Clues

Cluedle-Doo's clue was that Raccoon is known for being sharp. Raccoon said to get the happy ending, you often have to go through hell. The package had a jailhouse theme. Raccoon spoke of reading the book The Hunchback of Notre Dame and how he was Quasimoto. He said he wasn't innocent, he was actually a monster, but that he promised God if he ever got a second chance he'd only do good. Visual clues included the book and a stained glass window that showed Raccoon killing a snake.

All Raccoon's Identity Clues & How They Fit

Not only do the prison clues fit Trejo, but the Machete star also has spoken about his fondness for the book The Hunchback of Notre Dame and how he read it in prison. He speaks openly of religion's role in his life, so the stained glass window is most likely a nod to how religion helped him overcome his demons. Tonight's clue package should be enough to prove beyond a doubt that Raccoon is actor Danny Trejo. That is, unless he goes home tonight, which is also sadly a possibility.
