On The Masked Singer season 7, viewers were treated to some of the most unforgettable performances that the show has ever seen, but there were also a few mishaps that created classic moments that will live forever in the minds of fans. The theme of The Masked Singer season 7 is "The Good, The Bad, and the Cuddly," and the finale is made up entirely of Team Good members including Firefly, Ringmaster, and Prince. They will sing for the chance to win the Golden Mask on the May 18 season finale.

In the past, a few contestants on The Masked Singer have suffered through mishaps on stage. During rehearsal for a performance, The Masked Singer season 2 contestant Michelle Williams, who was Butterfly, was shocked due to a short-circuit on stage. Although it did not happen on stage, that same season Raven-Symoné, who was Black Widow, broke her arm before her second performance. The Masked Singer season 5 contestant Bobby Brown, who was Crab, left the stage temporarily after a performance because he felt out of breath.

All of The Masked Singer season 7 contestants delivered engaging and entertaining performances that impressed the panel of Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger, and the audience. The unmaskings of some of the biggest celebrities in sports, television, and music were exciting and surprising. However, some of the most memorable moments of the season happened during unscripted mishaps that shocked and stunned the audience.

McTerrier Loses His Head

McTerrier, who was unmasked to be celebrity chef Duff Goldman, was the first contestant in The Masked Singer history to lose his mask during a performance. After he was revealed, Duff admitted that he could not see anything in his costume. Because of this, when he moved from the riser on which he had been playing the drums to the main stage, he fell to his knees. At the end of his performance of "Working for the Weekend" by Loverboy, Duff got too close to the edge of the stage, and nearly fell off of it. In an attempt to regain his balance, he flailed his arms, and accidentally knocked his mask off of his head, which he immediately covered to conceal his identity. Duff later said that was worried he would ruin the show when his mask came off, but he was able to keep his true self a secret until later in the show when he was the first The Masked Singer season 7 contestant to be unmasked.

Firefly Chokes

When The Masked Singer finalist Firefly first took to the stage, she confidently began her beautiful version of Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody." However, after she sang the beginning of the song, she said "Ooh," began coughing, and appeared to be choking. The panel called for help and she was rushed off the stage to see the medic. Firefly later revealed that wearing her costume was "tough." Her eyes were where the mouth of the costume was. She said, "this booty and wings feel like I'm carrying 30 extra pounds, not to mention the corset and the chunky heeled boots." The Masked Singer performer said that when she was about to sing her favorite part of her ballad, the mask came under her chin and made it really hard to breathe. She shared, "I started to get hot, which I never get hot, and immediately had a panic attack." Firefly returned to the stage and eventually made it all the way to the finale.

Armadillo Takes A Tumble

Armadillo was revealed to be television personality Duane Lee Chapman, also known as Dog the Bounty Hunter. His costume consisted of a gold armadillo with boots, gloves, and armor. During his second performance, in which he sang "I Fought the Law" by The Bobby Fuller Four, he fell on the Masked Singer stage when he attempted to do a high kick. His backup singers immediately rushed to him to help him up. Dog later said that he was stunned that he fell down, revealing that it felt like somebody pushed him from the shoulder. However, the fall did not stop him from moving on to the group finals, during which he was unmasked.
