The Masked Singer revealed that fan-favorite Robo Girl was singer and The Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham, and she likened the new format to "the Wild West." Kat made her debut on Andrew Lloyd Webber Night with her rousing rendition of "Bad Cinderella" from his musical of the same name. She went head-to-head with Gloria Gaynor as Mermaid in the Battle Royale, singing "Don't Cry For Me Argentina." She was crowned Queen and made it through to Muppets Night. During that episode, Kat sang Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," accompanied by Kermit the Frog on piano. However, during the Battle Royale, she was defeated by the Lambs after they both sang "Call Me" by Blondie. No one on the panel guessed Kat. Robin Thicke thought she was Keke Palmer, while Jenny McCarthy guessed Shay Mitchell. Ken wondered if she was Sydney Sweeney, while Nicole Scherzinger theorized that she was Liza Koshy. Guest panelist Miss Piggy made the outrageous guess that she herself was Robo Girl.

In a tweet, The Masked Singer shared an exit interview with Kat, during which she thanked her Robo Girl mask for "all you've taught me. Thank you for making me feel like a machine, that I could conquer anything." Kat then admitted that "it would've been great to make it to the end," but the "different format" on The Masked Singer now led to her early elimination. During The Masked Singer season 8, only one contestant makes it through to the next round, while two are unmasked. Fans have criticized the new Masked Singer format because many talented performers have ended up leaving very early as a result. Kat acknowledged how competitive the format makes the FOX reality competition series, declaring that "it's the Wild West here, man!"

Kat Graham Learned A Lot From Her Masked Singer Experience

Kat Graham as Robo Girl on The Masked Singer

Although Kat is understandably disappointed by her Masked Singer elimination, she is proud of what she accomplished during the singing competition. As she explained, "To even this get this far...it's a trip. I felt like I was in a little spaceship, especially with Kermit." Kat went on to say that The Masked Singer is "so live," and she has "learned so much" from performing on the stage. The Masked Singer contestant explained that "I don't sing musicals normally. I sing a lot of dance pop. And I learned so many more techniques. But there's almost that part of you as an artist that's like, I came and I conquered this thing that was really daunting for me. And I did it, and I'm good." For Kat, the icing on the cake was having a legend like Kermit the Frog accompany her for her performance. She gushed, "I got to sing with Kermit the Frog. I won in my mind. I'm good. I feel really good."

As noted by a lot of fans, Kat was fantastic as The Masked Singer's Robo Girl and brought excitement to the stage with her energetic performances. However, the Lambs' rendition of "Hot N Cold" by Katy Perry, with their three-part harmony, was also very impressive. They will go on to compete on '90s Night. It would have been fun to see which '90s song Kat chose, since there is a lot of classic pop music from that era.

In any other Masked Singer season, Kat would most likely have made it to finale night. However, she is in good company as music legends such as Chris Kirkpatrick (Hummingbird) and Montell Jordan (Panther) have also been eliminated. Kat even knocked disco queen Gloria Gaynor (Mermaid) out of the competition. The Masked Singer season 8 is one of the most difficult to advance through, which is also making it one of the most exciting for fans.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
