One of the first costumes revealed for The Masked Singer season five was Chameleon, and fans have been guessing who is under the mask ever since. Initially, a big clue came with the first glimpse of the glamorous lizard standing next to new host Niecy Nash. While only 5'4" tall, Nash is clearly wearing heels in the clip. While many of the singers have appeared to be about her height or a bit taller, Chameleon towered over Nash, so the reptilian vocalist's height was a huge clue. The height has had judges consistently guessing a combination of tall singers and athletes.

Chameleon's singing proved he's a gifted singer and rapper. Originally, Ken Jeong guessed Dwight Howard, based on LeBron James, his teammate, wearing the number 23. Robin Thicke thought the father clue indicated Red Foo of LMFAO, whose father is Barry Gordy. Nicole Scherzinger thought of DJ Diplo, but has since decided Dwyane Wade might be a better fit. Jenny McCarthy guessed Two Chainz for the Georgia and cheese clues, as he is from Georgia and has a song called "Blue Cheese." We have a different prediction we are sticking with, and the fans seem to agree.

Who Is Chameleon? Masked Singer Identity Theory: Wiz Khalifa

While Chameleon appears to be at least a foot taller than the current host, the calculations for height are made difficult by the clothing. Both Chameleon and Nash are wearing flared bottom pantsuits, which obscure a view of how tall the heels they have on could be. The best estimate would be a minimum of 6'4" tall. Chameleon looks to be fairly thin, ruling out certain types of athletes who often have that kind of height, and bringing to mind other tall, thin celebrities. But the voice and those clues make it undeniable: Chameleon is rapper Wiz Khalifa. Last week, Chameleon's clue package spoke a lot of someone close to him who struggled with their uniqueness and who he lost tragically while including many rainbows. We think it's an undeniable and beautiful tribute to Khalifa's transgender sister, Lala, who died in 2017 at the age of 32.

Week 4 Chameleon Clues

Chameleon said he had to stand out and let his flow shine to compete among the powerful singers on the show. He said life has been about embracing what makes him unique. He went on to talk about how, when he was young, someone inseparable from him was constantly attacked for who she was. He said this was hard to witness, but he tried to lift her up until she was able to embrace what made her unique. Sadly, he said tragedy struck and she was taken from him, the most difficult thing he ever faced. The visual clues included cheese, a graduation cap in blue and gold, a taxi with peaches, bonjour, a tape measure with 36, 62 highlighted, a chameleon with a halo, a rainbow paintbrush, rainbow chameleon painting, and a rainbow background. Chameleon said he is always fighting for those who don't feel accepted to be proud showing their true colors. The package had a fortune teller theme. His celebrity first crush clue was Salma Hayek.

All Chameleon's Identity Clues & How They Fit

Chameleon's rainbow costume and many rainbow clues point to strong support of the LGTBTQ+ community. This fits Khalifa, who was and remains an outspoken supporter of his late transgender sister, Lala. He has referred to her death as one of the hardest things he has had to deal with. Chameleon's week four clue package appeared to be a very moving tribute to Lala. While the judges and many fans saw the peaches as a clue pointing to someone from Georgia, they are actually a nod to the rapper's mother, Peachie. At 6'4," our earlier estimate for the height of Chameleon would be dead on.

The word "bonjour" in the clue package was not for France, but rather his song with Snoop Dogg called "French Inhale."  His song "See You Again" is a very popular graduation tune, which explains the cap. The cheese is a nod to his song, "Chicken with the Cheese." The tech clues all point to Khalifa, who has spoken publicly about how technology helped his career.  The 007 clue is for the rapper's video for his song "James Bong," where he channeled the famous secret agent. He has a song called "23" featuring Miley Cyrus that explains the 23 on the dice. There are more than enough clues to confirm that Chameleon is absolutely Wiz Khalifa.

Previous Chameleon Clues

Cluedle-Doo told fans Chameleon has a history with precious gemstones. The package had lots of visual clues, including a motorcycle with "camoflag" plates, a photo of his dad, 007, dice with 23 on them, an I.T. book, "beware of pit" on a video game, and a joystick. He said unlike most of his friends, he doesn't blend in, he puts the tech in technicolor. His pops taught him to keep up with the times and taught him to tinker with gadgets. When his career tanked and he felt lost, he fell back on those tech-savvy skills to amplify his career and change the game. He loves being in front of people on stage or in your home. He sang "Ride With Me" by Nelly.
