The Masked Singer runner-up Bull, who ended up being Todrick Hall, revealed the reason why he thinks Nicole Scherzinger didn't guess him, despite the fact that they have been friends for a long time. Nicole was the only panelist who guessed the multi-talented Todrick, who is a singer, songwriter, dancer and YouTube star that made it to the semifinals of American Idol season 9. Robin Thicke's final guess was Sisqó after a First Impression Guess of Lil Uzi Vert. Jenny McCarthy ultimately guessed Adam Lambert, after initially thinking Bull might be Brian Littrell from the Backstreet Boys. At first, Ken Jeong believed Bull might be Ne-Yo but then went with Taye Diggs for his final guess. Nicole guessed correctly at the beginning and the end but didn't reveal her First Impression Guess after Bull's first performance. When asked for her guess, she said, "Okay, you guys, I think I really know who this is, and I wrote it down, but I'm trying a new strategy, and I'm gonna keep my cards close to my heart this season 'cause I don't want any of y'all snatching it."

Nicole actually may have been keeping the guess private because she didn't want to see Bull go home right away. Just before Bull was unmasked, Nicole said that she believed he was Todrick and said that throughout the season she was "keeping that guess under the pillow. There's no one more talented, so I believe this is my bae, my brother, my ‘Show Off’ partner-in-crime, Todrick Hall." “Show Off” is the name of the song that Nicole collaborated on with Todrick in 2021. When he was revealed, Nicole said that she knew right away that Bull was him, and she was so proud that the world got to see him and who he truly is. One of the new features of The Masked Singer season 6 was the Take It Off Buzzer, which any panelist could use if he or she was sure of the singer's identity. If the buzzer was pushed and the panelist was correct, the singer would have to unmask immediately and leave the show. Nicole may have wanted to keep Todrick in the competition, so she didn't say his name.

In an interview with EW, Todrick revealed that he knew that Nicole knew who he was from the first episode because of her comments, but he believed that she was protecting his identity to keep him safe. He explained, "I knew that she was going to hold it close to her chest because there was a Take It Off Buzzer this year, and I know that she didn't want me to get taken off because I'm not a person that gets to perform on FOX Television." Todrick went on to say that he loves the show because "the beauty of this show is that people fall in love with your character, not your skin color, not your orientation. So I'm so happy that I got to make it to the end and be able to sing songs and represent my community for the entire run of the season. It was a huge blessing. I'm really, really grateful that I got to do it." Because Nicole did not reveal him, he was able to stay until the finale and make his mark on the show.

Todrick shared that he has spoken to Nicole since the finale, and "she just told me that she was so proud of me and that she couldn't believe I was able to do all of those things. But then she was like, 'Of course you can, though, it's you.' I mean, nobody believes in me more than Nicole Scherzinger. She's just my No. 1 cheerleader. So it was really fun to have her there, and it made me more comfortable on stage, that I knew somebody who had genuine love for me was behind the judging panel." He added that "it was just really, really awesome" that he was able to sing Hunter Hayes' song "Invisible" for his last performance, and he was glad that Nicole was able to connect with it as she became emotional while he sang.

The Bull charged through this season of The Masked Singer, breaking down barriers with his impressive, powerful and mesmerizing performances. Todrick's dance moves in his full costume were stunning, and his voice was fantastic. Knowing that he had his good friend Nicole cheering for him the whole time helped him achieve his goal. Nicole's decision to keep her guess private until the end was a gift to the world because Todrick as the Bull had the opportunity to share his talents with the audience for the whole season.
