Warning! Spoilers ahead for Heroes Reborn #6

In the latest issue of Heroes Reborn, Marvel's version of Wonder Woman just revealed why she believes she's better than Thor and any other gods who have ever existed. The events of Heroes Reborn changed reality have not been kind to the gods, seeing as how many were either killed by Gorr the God Butcher or eaten by the Unstoppable All-Gog. However, they've both been slain and turned to stone by Power Princess, whose brutal battles and victories have led her to believe she's the only worthy being in this altered version of the Marvel Universe.

As Heroes Reborn has progressed, it's evident that the world is not as it once was. With the Avengers having never assembled in this reality, the much more brutal Squadron Supreme of America rose up as Earth's Mightiest Heroes instead, operating for America's interests under the command of President Phil Coulson (a secret servant of the demon lord Mephisto). As if that wasn't bad enough, nearly every hero and villain's life has been drastically changed as well. This includes Thor, who ended up being nothing more than an atheist drunk who never claimed his godhood. Meanwhile, Marvel's counterpart for Wonder Woman, known as the Power Princess, has seemingly stepped up as the world's mightiest hero and goddess.

Now, Heroes Reborn #6, from writer Jason Aaron with artists Erica D'urso and Ed McGuinness, sees Power Princess investigating a disturbance coming from the ruins of Asgard. Wielding an impressive ax she formed from the shattered remains of the Bifrost Bridge, she comes across Thor. While the Son of Odin had been the aforementioned drunk for the majority of his life, he's now found himself answering the call of his original home, slowly remembering his rightful place as the God of Thunder and wielder of the hammer Mjölnir. However, Power Princess disagrees, claiming that the universe hasn't missed the gods due to her actions as Marvel's most worthy.

Power Princess claims that she's the only god worthy of being worshipped and praised, believing that she's earned the right, unlike Thor or any other god in this altered reality. While she may be right in regards to this current version of Thor, the argument could be made that she'd be right even in the normal Marvel Universe. Gods such as Thor and Hercules could be considered to be exceptions, seeing as how they've both chosen to use their godly power to help Earth as heroes. They've each chosen roles that not many other gods could or would take. As such, perhaps Power Princess's claim about her worthiness has some validity, but her brutal and malicious tactics, combined with her status as a pawn of Coulson and Mephisto, clearly diminishes her argument quite a bit.

In any case, it appears as though Thor remembers who he truly is by the issue's end, claiming Mjölnir and departing Power Princess in order to find the few Avengers who also remember that the world is not right. As a result, it looks like Marvel's Wonder Woman and the rest of her allies in the Justice League analog will soon be battling the Avengers as Heroes Reborn concludes. When that happens, readers will most likely get to see Thor and Power Princess battling it out to determine who the most worthy god truly is.
