The upcoming PS5 exclusive game, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, hasn't had any official word on when the game would be released beyond that it would be Fall 2023, yet a recent leak suggests a much more specific timeframe. The upcoming sequel sees both Peter Parker and Miles Morales team up to face the evils threatening their world, including the terrifying Venom and Kraven the Hunter. Both Marvel's Spider-Man and Spider-Man Miles Morales games were big successes for PlayStation and have gotten many gamers excited about the approaching sequel in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.Everything known about Marvel's Spider-Man 2's release date previously was that it would be released in the Fall of 2023. A tweet on March 21 from the voice actor Tony Todd (via IGN), who plays Venom in the game, may have shortened that timeframe. Tony Todd's tweet alleges that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will launch in September, with a marketing push to lead up to it in August.

The tweet from Tony Todd was in response to another tweet that simply said the game can't come soon enough. The actor's leak seems to be genuine excitement, although nothing is official until confirmed by Insomniac Games. With the release window coming that soon, and this leak happening now, it is possible Insomniac could issue a statement fairly soon.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Could Release September 2023

Many hope that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 could save the MCU by recapturing the enthusiasm that originally followed any new Marvel release. The leaked month of September for the release of the game is already building that excitement among fans as the anticipation is becoming real. Very little information has been given regarding Marvel's Spider-Man 2 since the teaser trailer that debuted in 2021, which understandably was leaving potential players a bit worried regarding how the game development process was progressing.

Whether Tony Todd's information is correct or not, the tweet has already gained a lot of traction and provided hype for the release of the game, besides giving a glimmer of hope to fans who have been hungry for any news about the game. A September launch window would be good for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 leading up to the holiday sales, and not many PlayStation titles have been announced during that time yet. Marvel's Spider-Man 2's large open world is already an exciting prospect, and hopefully, an official announcement from Insomniac Games will arrive soon.
