A new trailer for the upcoming Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy video game has shone a spotlight on Cosmo and his puppies. As well as offering a new look at some of the game's cutest characters, the cinematic trailer highlights some of the quick-wit and humor fans of the heroes will get to enjoy when Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy releases later this month.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is an all-new Guardians adventure where players will take control of Star-Lord in a third-person single-player action-adventure. While Star-Lord will be the game's only playable character, fans can closely interact with Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot, using the game's narrative decision-making to impact their relationship with each character and strengthen their bond with the Guardians. Players will also be able to use all of their friends' skills and powers both in combat and when exploring by calling on them for aid, as seen in recent Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy trailers.

The new Cosmo-focused Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy trailer comes straight from developer Eidos-Montréal, and reveals a little of Cosmo's character. In the video, Cosmo shows off his no-nonsense attitude while also chasing his tail and playing with a ball, highlighting some of the funny dialogue the game will feature. Cosmo's adorable puppies also get a look in as they run rampant throughout the scene. In the video description, the developer teases:

"Cosmo is many things: a telepathic dog, a loving dad to wonderful puppies, the Chief of Security in Knowhere and… angry with the Guardians of the Galaxy! Things are about to get ruff."

As well as giving fans a good look at Cosmo and his pups, the latest Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy reveal trailer also gives another look at the game's decision-making. Players will be able to choose different dialogue options depending on their feelings on a scene, making the experience feel more personal. Unfortunately for those hoping for a deep and meaningful decision tree, it seems players' choices won't have too much of an impact on the overall plot, with the developer previously confirming the game won't have multiple endings.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is shaping up to be an unmissable adventure for Marvel fans despite some controversies. While some are displeased at only being able to play as Star-Lord, others are disappointed in the lack of meaningful choices. Despite this, the game's position as a single-player adventure without microtransactions has already won a lot of fans over, in part due to backlash over multiplayer and paid skins in Crystal Dynamics' Marvel's Avengers. Early Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy impressions suggest the game could be a hit, though gameplay flaws could be a problem.
