A blooper reel from the development of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy gives fans a look at the recording process and highlights some of the game's funniest moments. The recently-released sci-fi superhero game puts players in control of Peter Quill - the intergalactic outlaw better known as Star-Lord - to lead the outer-space outlaws through an epic adventure. Delivering an emotional narrative that is faithful to the team's comic book origins, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy includes various Easter eggs which serve to both reference other Marvel characters and add additional depth to the game's story.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy casts players as Peter Quill, but all five of the team's members are given adequate time to shine and develop. Peter's maturity and leadership skills allow him to stand out next to Chris Pratt's live-action interpretation, and the game explores the character's tragic past in great detail. Rocket's brash characterization may seem familiar to MCU fans, but the trauma brought upon by his creation and subsequent experimentation adds great depth to the explosive creature. Drax and Gamora receive equal amounts of attention, with their unique personalities adding both drama and humor to Eidos-Montréal's project. While Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy does reuse MCU ideas, these concepts are frequently tweaked and used in service of the game's extremely well-written storyline.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy blooper reel, recently posted to Twitter, gives fans a closer look at the game's cast and emphasizes some hilarious moments. Jon McLaren, Jason Cavalier, Kimberly-Sue Murray and Alex Weiner show off some excellent chemistry as they perform voice work for Peter Quill, Drax, Gamora and Rocket in the game. Several of the game's jokes and humorous scenes get the whole cast laughing, demonstrating how well Eidos-Montréal nailed the sci-fi superhero team's dynamic and tone. Many of Rocket's moments of exceptionally dark humor - such as joking about the deaths of Peter Quill's mother and Drax's daughter - seem to land particularly well for the crew of voice actors.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy managed to deliver a truly hilarious and emotional interpretation of Marvel's legendary losers, pleasantly surprising many gamers upon release. The game's success has led to speculation about the story of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy 2 should Eidos-Montréal go on to develop a sequel in the future. While the title is fairly self-contained it does mention many well-known Marvel figures - such as Nebula, Yondu and Nova - who do not physically appear. Thanos' survival is also hinted at throughout the game's story, suggesting that he could appear as a future villain. The Guardians' adoption of the young Nikki, and her newfound superpowers, could also factor into a potential Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

The cast of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy was able to put a fresh spin on the superhero squad while also nailing the team's signature humor, emotion and camaraderie. Each character is given a chance at the spotlight throughout the lengthy adventure, opening up to their teammates and unloading some emotional baggage. Jokes are delivered just as skillfully as these intense emotional scenes, with the skillful balance allowing Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy to thrill both casual gamers and Marvel aficionados.
