With the introduction of the Klaw Raid in late 2021, Marvel's Avengers has helped to reinvigorate its fanbase with interesting endgame content. With another raid likely on the way in 2022, developer Crystal Dynamics should capitalize on a location that has loomed over players since launch and set Marvel's Avengers' next raid in Avengers Tower. The tower has been in the game since launch and will appear in the background of several missions on the Eastern Seaboard, but as of yet, players have been unable to access the inside of it. Canonically, this is due to the fact that Tony Stark lost ownership over the New York high-rise after the tragic events of A-Day, after which the ownership passed on to AIM. This setup could lead perfectly into a new raid.

Adding a new raid into Marvel's Avengers would be beneficial to both the developers and the player base. When Marvel's Avengers first launched, one of the most common complaints that was leveled against the game surrounded its lack of proper endgame content. This led many players to feel as though the grinding they were doing to obtain higher levels and better gear didn't really amount to much, as there were no endgame challenges that required high-level builds. Apart from Hive missions with a lot of floors and recycled events, Marvel's Avengers didn't have a lot of high-level content for maxed-out players prior to the introduction of the Omega-Level Threat and Klaw Raid. The Klaw Raid in particular has kept interest pretty high, as players work to overcome the Raid's many challenges and earn the best gear.

If Crystal Dynamics were to add another Raid to Marvel's Avengers in the coming months, Avengers Tower would make for the perfect location to set it in. Not only is Avengers Tower one of Marvel's most famous locations, but it is also the location most tied to the game's titular team. Many Avengers fans have commented on how strange it is to have a game based around the Avengers and not include the team's iconic headquarters. A new Avengers Tower Raid could rectify this, and with Marvel's Avengers' impressive rendition of Wakanda having been expanded in the Klaw Raid, an Avengers Tower set mission could do the same for both the Avengers' headquarters as well as New York itself.

What An Avengers Tower Raid Would Look Like In Marvel's Avengers Game

Marvel's Avengers Modok

In Marvel's Avengers, the Avengers Tower is under the control of the villainous organization, AIM. While it is never revealed through the course of the story what AIM is doing in Avengers Tower, it is likely that they are using it for experiments or as a base of operations. A Raid taking place in Avengers Tower would involve having a team of Avengers infiltrate the Tower and attempt to retake it from AIM's clutches while shutting down whatever operations AIM has going on. Much in the way that Marvel's Avengers' Wakanda differed from the MCU version and drew from multiple sources including the comics, Avengers Tower could similarly set itself apart from the MCU by including rooms that have appeared in Marvel Comics, the Avengers Assemble animated show, and more.

An Avengers Tower Raid could also be the perfect opportunity to reintroduce M.O.D.O.K., the campaign's main villain that also served as its final boss. Marvel's Avengers players have been requesting an opportunity to challenge M.O.D.O.K. once again (either in a villain sector like Beating the Odds or in a new raid), and an Avengers Tower raid could give players a chance to finally fight M.O.D.O.K. alongside their friends. However it's tackled, Avengers Tower would make an excellent addition to Marvel's Avengers2022 content lineup.
