The War for Wakanda DLC is finally available for Marvel's AvengersMarvel's Avengers has received a substantial number of content updates since its initial release. Operation: Hawkeye and the Future Imperfect saga allowed players to experience new characters not found in the base game, with new cutscenes and storylines. In War for Wakanda, the largest DLC update for Marvel's Avengers to date, Black Panther will do everything in his power to protect his home from incoming invaders. The War for Wakanda DLC moves the story forward in a big way.

After the events of A-Day in the Marvel's Avengers base game, T'Challa decided to close the borders of Wakanda to the outside world. However, Ulysses Klaue and A.I.M have come together to force their way back into the country, collect its valuable Vibranium, and introduce new corrupted Vibranium. The War for Wakanda includes seven new missions to play, but the first mission in the DLC will need to be completed solo before players can enjoy the rest with friends. Here's how players can start the War for Wakanda expansion in Marvel's Avengers.

To begin, players will need to have updated Marvel's Avengers to the most recent version to add War for Wakanda to their game. It's a fairly substantial download, so it might take a while. There are two different methods of unlocking the War for Wakanda expansion once it has been downloaded.

Players can head over to the Operations tab from the Main Menu. Players should then scroll to the right. The War for Wakanda expansion will be listed as the fourth option, directly next to the Taking AIM and Future Imperfect missions. Players can select it and jump directly into the first mission this way.

Alternatively, players can head over to the Avengers Initiative tab in the Main Menu and choose the War for Wakanda expansion from the War Table. This might take a few extra steps, but it's a bit more thematic and fitting to jump into Wakanda this way. As mentioned, the first mission of this expansion is single-player and will demonstrate all of Black Panther's moves and abilities as a playable character.

Once this mission is over, players can load any previous missions available in the game and choose Black Panther as a playable character. Marvel's Avengers also allows players to select duplicate heroes for the same mission. If the player and their friends want to save Wakanda with an army of Black Panthers, they can do that now.
