A brand-new animated trailer for Marvel's Avengers introduces the game's version of the spectacular Spider-Man and his relationship with Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Last year developer Crystal Dynamics announced that the web-slinger would be coming exclusively to PlayStation versions of the multiplayer Marvel title. An animated reveal trailer for Marvel's Avengers' Spider-Man recently showed off the iconic hero's acrobatic moves and wisecracking personality, with Spidey set to crawl into the game on November 30.

Since its launch, Marvel's Avengers has received three additional playable superheroes, released in the form of free post-launch content, with each arriving alongside their own original storyline. The two Hawkeyes, Kate Bishop and Clint Barton, were added with a two-part time travel story. Meanwhile, Wakanda's iconic king Black Panther was introduced in a campaign that brought players into the heart of the advanced African nation. These additional heroes come complete with their own playstyles, special abilities, and cosmetic skins, and Spider-Man promises to be no different. The friendly neighborhood crimefighter's acrobatic combat skills and web-based abilities were teased in the recent cinematic trailer, and several of Spider-Man's outfits in Marvel's Avengers were recently showcased by Crystal Dynamics.

In a new animated trailer swinging onto YouTube, Spider-Man is introduced into the world of Marvel's Avengers and interacts with his titular teammates. The lighthearted video sees the arachnid acrobat updating his social media account and explaining to his New York fanbase that he's recently teamed up with the Avengers to fight against AIM. Alongside saving the world, however, Spidey and his amazing friends also find time to hang out. He plays video games with Kate Bishop, conducts scientific research with Bruce Banner, and even grabs a slice of pizza with Black Widow. The trailer is accompanied by an announcement from Marvel's Avengers Twitter account, which reveals that the game's version of Spider-Man is being brought to life by voice actor Sean Chiplock.

The version of Spider-Man featured in Marvel's Avengers seems to remain visually faithful to the character's traditional appearances. His timeless red and blue spandex suit is faithfully translated by Crystal Dynamics, with a few minor changes like an original chest emblem made to make the game's version distinct. Insomniac Games, the esteemed developer of Marvel's Spider-Man, recently praised Spider-Man's Marvel's Avengers design in a show of camaraderie between the two Marvel Games studios. While 2018's open-world adventure does include a classic suit that closely resembles the one seen in Marvel's Avengers, the primary suit introduced in Marvel's Spider-Man stands apart from traditional designs by including a massive white spider emblem.

Between the game's writing and Sean Chiplock's skilled voice work, Marvel's Avengers seems to bring an authentic adaptation of Spider-Man to the table. The character is lighthearted and charismatic, while also possessing an intrinsic need to protect the world. The game's Spider-Man storyline seems to put a heavy focus on his relationship with Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which is sure to lead to some fun interactions throughout. While the beloved superhero is sadly exclusive to PlayStation consoles, Spider-Man will swing into Marvel's Avengers on Sony systems on November 30.
