The previously leaked skin based on Iron Man’s MCU suit from Avengers: Endgame has been officially revealed and will be available for purchase in Marvel’s Avengers on May 20. MCU-inspired skins have been a big focus for the game recently. Black Widow and Hawkeye received their skins a week apart, and Hulk is also set to get his Avengers: Endgame skin tomorrow.

Though the MCU-inspired skins feature mostly accurate representations of the characters in the film, some fans have complained about some noticeable differences. When it was announced earlier this month, Black Widow’s Avengers: Endgame skin was met with criticism from some fans for not featuring her iconic red and blond hair. Following her skin was Hawkeye's and Hulk’s outfits, which also displayed some different hairstyles than their characters did in the film. Despite some negative reactions from fans, it looks like the newest suit might be the most movie-accurate skin to date.

In a Tweet to the PlayAvengers Twitter account today, Crystal Dynamics officially revealed that a skin based on Iron Man’s suit from Avengers: Endgame is coming to the game on May 20. The suit will be available for purchase via the game’s marketplace, and will presumably cost 1400 credits, the highest price for the game’s legendary skins.

The skin is based on Tony Stark’s Mark 85 suit from the Russo Brothers-directed film. It features the character's classic red-and-gold color scheme, a theme that many Iron Man suits incorporate. The skin appears to feature incredibly detailed patterns and slits along the joints of the suit. As of now, the Mark 85 serves as Tony Stark’s final MCU Iron Man suit after he sacrificed his life to defeat Thanos and his army in Avengers: Endgame.

Iron Man’s Avengers: Endgame suit is the latest, but certainly not last, MCU skin to be added to Marvel’s Avengers. Some fans criticized earlier MCU skins, like Black Widow's, because they featured different hairstyles than their depictions in the film. However, Iron Man's is perhaps the most accurate MCU skin so far, displaying a nearly identical portrayal of a suited-up Tony Stark in his final film role. It’s possible that previous skins featured different appearances because of certain limitations with the game's character models. Since Tony Stark is effectively hidden underneath a suit of armor, it’s feasible that Crystal Dynamics was able to create a more 1-to-1 skin.

Thor and Captain America's MCU skins are the final two yet to be officially revealed for Marvel’s Avengers. Both of those characters wore incredibly distinct outfits in the blockbuster movie, so Crystal Dynamics will probably release their MCU-inspired skins in the coming weeks to complete the full Avengers: Endgame set.
