The next MCU skin coming to Marvel's Avengers is Thor's outfit from Avengers: Infinity War, which comes complete with the God of Thunder's awesome eyepatch. Crystal Dynamics' superhero slugfest has not received any meaningful new content in months, but the title's Marvel Cinematic Universe cosmetics remain popular among the game's followers. Recently Square Enix sold Marvel's Avengers developer Crystal Dynamics, but this dramatic event has not stopped the flow of new MCU skins.

While Marvel's Avengers launched without any MCU skins back in September 2020, live-action attire has since become the multiplayer title's most popular feature. The first year of the game's life was filled with frequent updates, including the addition of Black Panther in the sizable War for Wakanda expansion, but recently fans have been left without any new content. November 2021 saw the launch of a new Klaw boss raid and brought Spider-Man to PlayStation consoles, but since then Marvel's Avengers has only received skins and a small update to its mission select system. Many fans feel that the end of Marvel's Avengers is near, but MCU skins continue to release regardless.

As revealed via Twitter, the next Marvel's Avengers MCU skin will be Thor's Avengers: Infinity War design which includes an eyepatch and lacks a cape. The 2018 crossover film sees the God of Thunder embark on a quest to forge a new weapon that can slay Thor following his defeat at the hands of the Mad Titan. The character's eyepatch and short haircut carry over from Thor: Ragnarok, and his dark armor reflects his somber mood throughout the film. While Thor never actually wields Mjolnir in Infinity War, the Marvel's Avengers skin includes the hammer for gameplay purposes. Players can purchase Thor's worn-down design from the Marketplace starting May 12.

While the game's future looks increasingly grim, the upcoming addition of Jane Foster to Marvel's Avengers suggests that Crystal Dynamics does have some plans for the future. The alternative God of Thunder has become quite popular since her first comic appearance in 2014, with the upcoming MCU film Thor: Love and Thunder bringing Natalie Portman back to fill the godly role. Crystal Dynamics has stated that Jane Foster will be a distinct character from Thor, despite the fact that the two heroes share a signature weapon and power set.

Marvel's Avengers' MCU outfits continue to draw a crowd, and Thor's design from Avengers: Infinity War is a particularly unique and iconic look for the Mighty Avenger. Lacking a cape and bearing an eyepatch over a nasty wound shows how damaged Thor has become by the time Infinity War rolls around. For Marvel's Avengers fans interested in going for the head, this MCU attire will be available starting May 12.
