The future of Marvel's Avengers is looking much brighter. With the Black Panther: War For Wakanda expansion and many other DLC drops on the way, fans are excited to see what's next. This universe that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have created still has many stories it could tell.

Within these stories, fans look forward to new heroes being added to the roster. Hawkeye and Kate Bishop are already great additions, but there are so many heroes to add to the team. And with each hero, there needs to be a villain that brings the said hero to join (or in some cases rejoin) the Avengers too.

Hero: Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange And Spider-Woman Flying Into Battle

So far, Marvel's Avengers has focused on science fiction elements. AIM, robots, high-tech mercenaries, and with the introduction of the Kree: aliens. Doctor Strange's mystical adventures would definitely make for a refreshing change.

Strange is a deadly fighter when he needs to be, which combined with his cloak could make for a very dynamic combat system. Said iconic cloak, as well as his suit, have had many looks over the years, so the alternate skin potential is there. That's not even getting to his many spells that could be used for support, dealing heavy damage, and so much more.

Villain: Nightmare

Nightmare In The Dream Dimension

Since Hawkeye's DLC displayed the potential of new biomes that are not part of modern-day Earth, having Nightmare as a villain could allow for the Avengers to enter the Dream Dimension. In this biome, not only would it feature more unique scenery, but new enemies including all kinds of monsters and demons.

At the end of it all, Nightmare is a villain that can give Ghost Rider a run for his money. So a Villain Sector boss fight could end up being one of the more challenging with all his powers.

Hero: Captain Marvel

This one is pretty obvious since she is already a canon character in Marvel's Avengers. During the A-Day opening, it is said that she is currently off-world. Plus, Kamala Khan's favorite hero is Captain Marvel, hence why she is named Ms. Marvel and is slightly themed after her. Players can even find a Captain Marvel poster in Kamala's room.

Adding Captain Marvel would allow for even more great scenes with Kamala Khan. Gameplay-wise, Captain Marvel would be an absolute powerhouse that rivals the likes of Thor. Many players have been wanting more flyer characters, and she could be the fastest one.

Villain: Hala The Accuser

Hala The Accuser Standing Triumphant

The ending of the main campaign and the DLC campaigns have been slowly building up the Kree. With the Kree invading, it will obviously bring Captain Marvel back to Earth to help the Avengers. To go along with her, the Kree will need a leader and who better than Hala.

Hala is a powerful villain that has beaten the Guardians Of The Galaxy as well as the Nova Corps. Some would argue that she's an even deadlier threat than Ronan. As a bonus, Hala would shake things up by having more female villains in the mix besides Scientist Supreme.

Hero: She-Hulk

So far, the leaked roster of DLC heroes has been correct. On that list, one character that has everyone curious is She-Hulk. For those unaware, She-Hulk is not just a female version of the Hulk. She's a martial artist, she's rather intelligent, and she happens to be one of the funniest Marvel characters. She was breaking the fourth wall before Deadpool made it cool.

So while the powers of the two are similar, She-Hulk's combat and methods are vastly different. With Bruce Banner back in the fight, She-Hulk is bound to appear to help her cousin.

Villain: The Leader

The Leader Glaring in Marvel Comics

A lot of the villain sectors so far have been giant villains or giant robots, big hitboxes that tend to feel too similar after a while. The Leader could freshen things up by having an average size person but with powerful telekinetic and psionic abilities.

The Leader would also fit seeing how Scientist Supreme is Bruce Banner's ex and she was obsessed with replicating his work. Not only would she see The Leader as a perfect pawn, but she too would be after She-Hulk as much as the Leader would be.

Hero: The Wasp

Janet As The Wasp In Her Giant Form - Marvel Comics

Though fans would likely want to see Ant-Man, his abilities wouldn't exactly work in a third-person action game like Marvel's Avengers. That's likely why they established that Hank Pym can't be Ant-Man anymore. However, there has yet to be any confirmation of the Wasp's existence so far.

The Wasp was another character from the data-mined list. She would work much better since she does more than shrink and grows: she has blasters, she has wings that could affect her combat, and she is a fighter. It's easy to imagine Janet taking Hank's place on the front lines.

Villain: Ultron

Kamala Khan Speaking With Roy - Marvel's Avengers

Every player has predicted that Ultron will rise in the future. In every outpost, there is an AI that controls many robot bodies at once named Roy. Though friendly at first, every now and then, Roy says things that can be downright creepy and ominous. Plus, Ultron was originally co-created by Roy Thomas.

As if that's not obvious enough, Roy was created by Hank Pym just like Ultron in the comics. So, it's obvious that at some point Roy is going to go rogue and be one of the big threats as Ultron, providing a perfect opportunity for Wasp to join the fight and including a likely difficult boss fight.

Hero: Loki

Loki heads into battle in Thor: Ragnarok.

Yes, Loki is technically not a hero. However, Loki is a very three-dimensional character that treads the line of hero and villain, making him the perfect anti-hero. With the new Loki series on Disney+, it's not far-fetched to think that Marvel will want to capitalize off the love for the character.

From a gameplay perspective, Loki would also be one of the more characters unique to play. So far, there are no polearm or staff-wielding characters except for Black Widow's ultimate ability. Loki's scepter would provide good melee combat, fire magic blasts for his ranged attacks, and combined with his many powers of mischief for heroic abilities, Loki could end up being top-tier.

Villain: Hela

Hela Marching Down The Bifrost - Thor Ragnarok

Since gamers will be going to Wakanda will Black Panther's expansion, everyone is going to want Asgard as the next big biome to experience. Have Hela return to conquer Asgard with an army of undead, and Loki would likely come to Thor and the Avengers for help. An enemy of my enemy is my friend kind of situation.

From the golden palace to the serene countrysides of Asgard, the fight against Hela's forces could be the most beautiful. The fight with Hela herself obviously would make for a difficult fight since she rivals Thor and Odin. Plus her abilities would make for a more aesthetically unique fight than what the game provides so far.
