Miles Morales may not be in Marvel’s Avengers, but one player has managed to recreate the younger Spider-Man’s Venom powers and camouflage through a special character build. The Peter Parker version of Spider-Man made his long-awaited debut in Marvel’s Avengers as a PlayStation-exclusive hero last month, bringing with him several unique missions, unlockable character skins, and character interactions with fellow Avengers like Ms. Marvel and Black Widow. So far, fans have reacted reasonably well to Crystal Dynamics' take on the iconic web-slinger, although some note that Spidey's web-swinging mechanics in Marvel’s Avengers are somewhat less refined than those of Marvel’s Spider-Man or even Peter’s most recent appearance in Fortnite.

While Peter Parker and Miles Morales share the basic Spider-Man abilities of enhanced strength and speed, a precognitive Spider-Sense that warns them of impending danger, and being able to stick to walls, Miles has a few handy tricks of his own to help him stand out from his more experienced counterpart. As Spider-Man, Miles can unleash electrical Venom Blasts to shock his enemies into submission and can turn invisible to the naked eye with a trusty camouflage power. 2020’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales captured these abilities to great effect. In that game, Miles’ Venom attacks and cloaking abilities added new wrinkles to the already excellent combat and stealth featured in Marvel’s Spider-Man.

While Miles is sadly absent from Marvel’s Avengers, one player has figured out how to at least grant Peter some of the younger web-slinger's unique powers. Reddit user tchjay92 detailed his custom, Miles Morales-inspired Spider-Man character loadout (via GameRant), demonstrating how their version of Spidey can utilize Miles' electricity and camouflage against an army of A.I.M robots. This Spider-Man build sports a black-and-grey costume (since Miles’s standard black-and-red uniform is sadly unavailable in Marvel’s Avengers) and features a loadout of Faultless Vibranium Payload Gloves, Targeted Buff Cartridges, Omega Ward, and Wrecking Ball Vendetta Lenses. The ISO-8 Of Cosmic Affinity and Cosmic Infused ISO-8 Lesser Artifacts provide Peter with lightning-infused strikes that resemble Miles’s Venom Blasts, and the Vishanti Apendix XIII Major Artifact allows him to turn invisible when the going gets tough.

Miles himself is set to return to the gaming spotlight in the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which Insomniac announced at the September PlayStation Showcase livestream a few months ago. Fans can likely expect more of the web-swinging and high-flying combat gameplay that made the first two games in the Marvel’s Spider-Man series so successful, along with the rumored ability to switch between Peter and Miles on the fly and a darker storyline that will pit the two Spider-heroes against new foes like Venom and Kraven The Hunter.

Miles Morales is as popular a character as ever among Marvel gaming fans, as evidenced by tchjay92's efforts to recreate the young web-slinger's unique abilities in Marvel’s Avengers. Crystal Dynamics has promised to continue adding new characters and missions to Marvel’s Avengers well into 2022, so Miles could make a proper appearance in the team-based superhero title in the future. In the meantime, tchjay’s custom Spider-Man loadout might be just the setup for players looking to take down A.I.M. with Miles’s trusty Venom powers.
