As the live-action roster continues to grow, it's been revealed that the Marvel Zombies show will include a massive list of Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. The upcoming animated series acts as a continuation of episode 5 of What If...?, which twisted the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp and Avengers: Infinity War that saw members of the Avengers becoming zombies and leading to a worldwide apocalypse. The episode saw a large number of MCU voices return, including Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa, Paul Bettany as Vision and Paul Rudd as Scott Lang.

Development on the Marvel Zombies show was announced this past November with Bryan Andrews, who directed the What If...? episode, returning to helm and Zeb Wells now acting as head writer. In the past 9 months, word has gone mostly quiet on the show's development, save for the tease that the show would be focusing on a new generation of heroes facing off against the undead. Those eager for more word on Marvel Zombies are now learning who this new generation of heroes will be in the upcoming show.

As part of its animation panel at San Diego Comic-Con, attended by Screen RantMarvel Studios announced its roster of MCU characters for the Marvel Zombies show. Those confirmed to be zombies in the series include Hawkeye, Captain America, Abomination, Ghost, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch and Okoye, while the still-alive heroes include Yelena, Kate Bishop, Agent Woo, Red Guardian, Death Dealer, Shang-Chi and Kamala Khan. Marvel Studios' head of streaming and head of visual development Ryan Meinerding also teased that there will be "much Kamala love in our zombie show."

A zombie version of Wanda Maximoff surrounded by Chaos Magic in Marvel's What If...?

Given the prior tease of moving away from the hero characters seen in What If...?, it's understandable all of the characters on Marvel Zombies' list of MCU survivors are those not previously seen in episode 5. At the time of writing, Marvel has yet to reveal which of the characters included in the show will be voiced by their live-action counterparts, a question amongst MCU fans after What If...? did away with a number of stars for a variety of reasons. Given the recent popularity of Florence Pugh's Yelena, Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop, Randall Park's Agent Woo and Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan, it seems likely this group of actors will be reprising their roles for the Marvel Zombies show.

One of the more interesting characters to be included in the Marvel Zombies show's massive list of MCU characters is that of Death-Dealer. The character made his MCU debut with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as a member of the titular criminal group and was swiftly killed by one of the Dweller-in-Darkness' minions, leaving many to wonder whether he will once again be defeated by a supernatural force as in the film or if he will be able to hold his own alongside Simu Liu's Shang-Chi and the rest of the heroes. Only time will tell when Marvel Zombies hits Disney+ in 2024.
