The poster for What If...? episode 7 reveals this week will be all about Party Thor. Marvel Studios' first animated effort is entering its final weeks, and it's anyone's guess as to what's in store. After reimagining movies like Captain America: The First Avenger and Iron Man, What If...? is gearing up to assemble the Guardians of the Multiverse in a future installment. When that will be and what it will entail remains to be seen, but it is certain that it won't be the end of the show. What If...? is already renewed for season 2, which will continue to explore alternate universes within the MCU.

Last week's episode focused on fan favorite villain Erik Killmonger, but for episode 7, What If...? is turning its focus back to the heroes. Little is known about Thor's story, though he's been glimpsed in the various trailers sporting his usual mane of thick blond hair. What If..?'s Thor has been dubbed Party Thor by the show's various promotional efforts, meaning this will likely be a sillier version of the character than fans are used to. Chris Hemsworth has returned to voice Thor for the series.

Marvel has made a habit of teasing each new What If...? by revealing a character poster on Mondays. The latest, timed for episode 7, reveals a closer look at Party Thor. He looks similar to how he does in the movies, though he's clean shaven and appears to be a bit younger. The poster depicts Thor in a heroic pose, but based on his name, he'll probably loosen up pretty soon. Check it out below.

Not much is known about Party Thor's story, but there's a good chance it will offer an alternate version of his first solo movie. At the start of his MCU story, Thor was immature and more inclined to party than act as a responsible leader. It could be that What If...? will see his development get sidetracked; instead of learning the lessons Odin wants him to, he'll just continue to be a foolish prince. Of course, the poster confirms Thor will still have Mjolnir somehow, so maybe he'll earn his character development over the course of What If...? episode 7 in a new way.

Part of the joy of watching What If...? has come from seeing vastly different versions of the characters fans know and love. For example, episode 2 featured a T'Challa who grew up among the Ravagers and became one of the galaxy's most beloved heroes. What If...? episode 4 took Doctor Strange down a darker path to explore his capacity for evil. This week's installment has the potential to do the same with Thor, so hopefully it'll be a fun exploration of the God of Thunder for fans to enjoy.
