While audiences eagerly await its arrival, Werewolf by Night director Michael Giacchino teases that a new look of the Marvel special is coming very soon. The Disney+ title will introduce the titular character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Gael García Bernal starring in the titular role. Werewolf by Night will also feature The Nevers star Laura Donnelly, Harriet Sansom Harris, Al Hamacher, Eugenie Bondurant, Kirk Thatcher, Jaycob Maya, Daniel J. Watts, and Leonard Nam. Developed by Moon Knight alum Peter Cameron and Hawkeye's Heather Quinn, Werewolf by Night centers on Jack Russell as he and a group of monster hunters gather to compete for a mysterious relic granting the owner various powers. Development on the MCU special was first announced in mid-2021, with reports indicating it would center on Werewolf by Night starring Bernal, though subsequent casting and filming updates keeping its subject strictly under wraps. The recent D23 Expo offered the first Werewolf by Night trailer, and now, one of the special's key creatives is offering an exciting update for those eager to see more of the special.Related: Who Is Werewolf By Night? Marvel's Halloween Special Character ExplainedOn the heels of the first trailer hitting the airwaves, one fan took to Twitter to ask Michael Giacchino for a new Werewolf by Night look before the special's premiere. The director subsequently responded with the promise that a new look at the Marvel special is coming very soon. See Giacchino's response below:

Though Giacchino's tease of a new Werewolf by Night look may not offer much in the way of what to expect, or when to expect it, those eager to see the character's arrival are sure to be excited at the prospect at seeing more of his MCU debut ahead of the special's premiere. Phase Four of the MCU has slowly incorporated horror elements from many of its iconic characters, including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which was heavily promoted as Marvel's first horror movie, and Disney+'s Moon Knight, which was touted as a psychological horror title. Unlike said prior projects, the first Werewolf by Night trailer touted a tone balancing a campier atmosphere in the same vein of Rob Zombie's Munsters, as well as that of the monster-heavy MCU titles previously mentioned.

With less than a month remaining until its premiere, Giacchino's tease that a new Werewolf by Night look is coming soon would seemingly indicate its arrival within the next week or two. Given the first MCU trailer teased the Time Variance Authority, an entity introduced with Loki season 1, and their involvement in the special, as well as the introduction of Man-Thing to the MCU, one can only hope a new look at the special further details its connections to the larger franchise. Until said teaser comes, audiences can look forward to Werewolf by Night premiering on Disney+ on October 7.
