Marvel's Latinx heroes will take center stage with the newest issue of Marvel Voices this October. Marvel's Voices: Comunidades #1 will feature some of the company's heroic characters in new stories by many Latinx creators. This special will continue to highlight Marvel's diverse legacy by celebrating Latinx heritage and culture.

Marvel's Voices is a series of one-issue specials that have celebrated Marvel's heroes. These specials have included Marvel's Voices #1, Marvel's Voices: Indigenous Voices #1, and most recently, Marvel's Voices: Pride #1. The next special, Marvel's Voices: Identity #1 will be coming in August 2021 and will celebrate the heritage of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Following this will be another in October.

The variant featuring Ava Ayala as White Tiger is illustrated by Maria Wolf and Mike Spicer and the flag-bearing variant is illustrated by Nabetse Zitro and Jesus Aburtov.

Comunidades is Spanish for "community" and this comic is certainly going to feature a big part of Marvel's community. Older characters and newer characters will both have stories - and a new hero will be introduced. Terry Blas will be introducing a new hero "spinning out of his acclaimed Reptil series" which will likely be Humberto's cousin, Eva. She has been seen using magic in Reptil and will hopefully get to grow her abilities in the near future if this introduction is her getting an actual superhero name of her own. White Tiger will feature in a story "rooted in real history" that "revisits the legacy" of the character, which is fitting considering he was Marvel's first Latino superhero, paving the way for future Latinx Marvel heroes.

Nina the Conjuror will also be included in this issue. She was introduced in 2016 and is a Sorcerer Supreme who lived in the 1950s. Latinx folklore will also be part of this special as Nina battles Anhangá, a nature spirit. The introduction to this issue will be written by Frederick Luis Aldama, a professor and "renowned comics scholar" who created the Plantary Republic of Comics website. Marvel's Voices: Comunidades #1 will release October 20, 2021.
