This week Marvel Unlimited archives a handful of premiere issues including Star Wars: Darth Vader, X-Men/Fantastic Four, and Ant-Man with an impressive seventeen-title update to the digital library. The new update, chronicling releases from the first week of February 2020, also provides series conclusions to Yondu and Spider-Man & Venom: Double Trouble while updating the story arcs in Daredevil, Black Cat, Marauders, and Magnificent Ms. Marvel. Each week, Screen Rant takes a look at the latest update to Marvel Comics' digital library, Marvel Unlimited - here are just a few of the standout titles in this week’s Pull List!

Set against the cliffhanger-ending of Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, this year’s sleeper-hit Star Wars: Darth Vader gets an introduction to Marvel Unlimited readers this week. With his son’s rejection still stinging and the Millennium Falcon jumping to hyperspace with his fleeing quarry, Darth Vader strikes out to punish any and all connections to young Skywalker and his friends. Yet, Vader’s quest will ultimately uncover secrets of his own sinister past left shrouded by Palpatine’s schemes and a dark lord’s shame. For, “if once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.” Don’t miss the debut of writer Greg Pak’s sorcerous tale of the Sith, Star Wars: Darth Vader — with a shocker-ending that will leave readers and rebel scum speechless!

Here on Earth, mutants are swarming to the sanctuary-city of Krakoa, a sentient isle that promises safety and security for a population vilified for its distinctiveness. While valiant superheroes often enjoy generous public support, if not outright idolatry, mutants face unveiled hostility, resentment, and prejudice. X-Men/Fantastic Four explores the intersection of fear and friendship when Franklin Richards is torn between his mutant-genes and Xavier’s new society beckoning and his deep roots in Marvel’s First Family. With an ensemble cast featuring Professor X, Wolverine, The Master of Magnetism, Human Torch, Invisible Woman, and the Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Thing, X-Men/Fantastic Four from writer Chip Zdarksy and artist Terry Dodson reunites two of Marvel’s most illustrious franchises for a fractious face-to-face. When fellowship is strained, it’s clearly clobberin’ time. X-Men/Fantastic Four #1, “The Impossible Boy” premieres this week on Marvel Unlimited.

And it’s a battle for the bees in the outrageous and absurdly entertaining Ant-Man #1, joining the slate of new titles debuting this week. A down-on-his-luck Scott Lang returns to don the ant-tech in a farcical limited series that pits the minions of the miniature-verse against the creepy-crawlies of Swarm, a Nazi supervillain possessing the secrets of the beehive. Holed up in an anthill with his daughter Stinger, Lang takes a contract with the Florida State Beekeepers Association to save their hives from colony collapse. But in the depths of the honeycomb hideout, Ant-Man finds he’s in over his head when the seething Swarm reveals the real threat to balance in the beehive. Ant-Man #1 is an outlandish and endearing adventure from Nova writer Zeb Wells and Cosmic Ghost Rider artist Dylan Burnett and even includes a free preview of Strange Academy #1 from Skottie Young, Humberto Ramos, and Edgar Delgado.

Bonus Content! Among the recent adds late last week, Marvel Unlimited quietly archived the once-nebulous Free Comic Book Day 2020 titles, X-Men #1, and its undisclosed “Dark Ages” preview, and Spider-Man/Venom #1 with spider-slayer, the Black Cat and the introduction of the scrapper, Virus

This week’s Marvel Unlimted update serves up seventeen titles including one-shots, ongoing series, and a host of heroes for summer reading. Don’t miss all the new titles, from Vader to Venom, this week on Marvel Unlimited — available on the App StoreGoogle Play, and online.
