As Ms. Marvel approaches its finale, there are still several Disney+ Marvel TV shows set to arrive in 2022 and beyond. Unlike the Infinity Saga, the MCU’s Phase 4 does not have to rely on the big screen only to introduce new characters and storylines, thanks to Disney+. There has never been so much MCU content being released in such a small amount of time, and even with the pandemic-related delays, Marvel’s Phase 4 is already bigger in terms of runtime than any of the other three.

While there have been many Marvel shows that referenced the MCU in the past few years, such as ABC's Agents of Shield and Netflix's Daredevil, it was only when Disney+ launched that Marvel Studios began developing its own TV shows. WandaVision marked the first Marvel show produced by Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, and from then on, the Disney+ titles became as essential to follow the MCU as the theatrical releases. For example, 2022 has seen the MCU debuts of the heroes Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel on the streaming platform.

Similar to most of the Disney+ Marvel shows, Ms. Marvel will have six episodes. While Kamala Khan’s return might only happen in 2023’s The Marvels, audiences will get to see old and new MCU heroes on the small screen shortly after Ms. Marvel ends. Here are all 17 Marvel TV shows releasing on Disney+ after Ms. Marvel.

I Am Groot - August 10

I Am Groot

While I Am Groot’s MCU canon status is still up in the air, the series of animated shorts are produced by Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn and will feature Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot. I Am Groot will follow the Baby Groot version of the character, and it will take place before the events of Avengers: Infinity War. The show will have five episodes.

She-Hulk - August 17, 2022

Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk

After I Am Groot, the Disney+’s Marvel shows return to a more traditional format with She-Hulk. The show will have nine episodes, three more than Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel, and it will follow the origin story of Jennifer Walters. On top of bringing She-Hulk into the MCU, the She-Hulk show is set to explore more of the "Hulk side" of the Marvel universe, and it will feature both Hulk and Abomination. Curiously, it is still not possible to say when She-Hulk takes place in the MCU timeline, as the trailer features the Smart Hulk version of Hulk with no signs of the hero's arm injury.

Werewolf By Night - 2022

Jack Russell in werewolf form about to attack

While there’s no exact release date for Werewolf by Night, the production is being described as a Halloween special that will air on Disney+ before the end of the year. Werewolf by Night will mark the directorial debut of Michael Giacchino, a long-time music composer who worked has previously worked in several MCU movies like Doctor Strange and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Gabriel Garcia Bernal will play Werewolf by Night, although it is still not clear which version of the character – Jack Russel or Jake Gomez.

Marvel's What If...? Season 2 - 2022

Gamora in What If Episode 9

Marvel's What If…? will be the first MCU TV show to receive a season 2. The anthology series consisting of different “what if…” adventures through the MCU multiverse surprised many by revealing in the latter half of season 1 that there was a bigger arc involving the different universes. What If…? season 1 ended with the Guardians of the Multiverse stopping Ultron, and it will be interesting to see what new realities are going to be explored in What If…? season 2.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special - Late 2022

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

If Star Wars can have a holiday special, then so can the Guardians of the Galaxy. Unlike I Am GrootThe Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will be live-action and is confirmed to be MCU canon. James Gunn will write and direct the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special for Disney+, and while there is no official release date yet, the production is expected to premiere before the end of 2022. Despite being a canon adventure, James Gunn already confirmed that not all of the Guardians of the Galaxy are going to appear in the holiday special.

Secret Invasion - Early 2023

Marvel Secret Invasion Logo

Secret Invasion was announced in December 2020, but there is still no confirmed release date for the show. That said, Secret Invasion is expected to premiere in early 2023. The show is being described as a spy thriller centered on Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury with a story based on the comic book arc of the same name. In the Marvel comics, Secret Invasion dealt with the shocking reveal that Skrulls have been using their shapeshifting abilities to infiltrate Earth for months. Considering how Captain Marvel reinvented the Skrulls as somewhat the good guys, it will be interesting to see how the MCU Secret Invasion plays out. Similar to most MCU shows, Secret Invasion will have six episodes.

Echo - 2023

Alaqua Cox in Echo

After debuting in Hawkeye, Maya Lopez returns for hew on Disney+ show with Echo. The show will pick up right where Hawkeye left, with Maya shooting Kingpin after discovering that he was behind her father’s death. On top of further developing the titular character, Echo is confirmed to reunite Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio's Kingpin for the first time since Netflix’s Daredevil season 3.

Loki Season 2 - 2023

Loki-Mobius

What If…? is not the only Marvel show returning for a second season, as Loki season 2 is currently in production and is expected to premiere in 2023. After Sylvie killed He Who Remains, the rules of the MCU’s multiverse and of the TVA are a mystery to audiences and to Loki himself. In addition, a Kang variant – one probably much more dangerous than He Who Remains – has seemly taken control over the TVA. No one in the TVA recognizes Loki, not even Mobius, and with Sylvie lost somewhere in the multiverse, the God of Mischief is once again on a lonely journey.

Ironheart

Title card for the Ironheart series

Similar to Secret Invasion, Ironheart was announced in December 2020 and currently has no release date attached. The show will follow the story of Riri Williams, who in the comics creates her own version of Iron Man’s armor and becomes the superhero known as Ironheart. Riri Williams will be played by Dominque Thorne, and the character will make her MCU debut on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever before leading her own Disney+ show.

Armor Wars

Title card for the Armor Wars series

Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes has been part of the MCU since 2010’s Iron Man 2, and the character will now have his own show with Armor Wars. Similar to Captain America: Civil War and the upcoming Secret Invasion, Armor Wars is inspired by the comic book arc of the same name but will have obvious differences. In the MCU, Armor Wars is expected to deal with the aftermath of Iron Man’s death and with what happens to all of Tony Stark’s tech. No Way Home already teased the idea of how dangerous Tony Stark’s tech falling into the wrong hands can be, a plotline that Armor Wars will likely continue.

Agatha: House Of Harkness

Agatha Harkness in the director's chair in WandaVision

Following a hit debut in WandaVision, Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness will star in her own Disney+ series. WandaVision ended with Agatha trapped under Scarlet Witch’s spell, meaning that Agatha: House of Harkness can either be a prequel or reveal that Agatha managed to escape Wanda’s magic prison. In the comics, Agatha is not always a full-time villain like she was in WandaVision, and that is something House of Harkness can explore.

Okoye Spinoff

Okoye Danai Gurira

After Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it will not take too long before the MCU returns to Wakanda. Black Panther and Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler is developing a Wakanda spinoff series for Disney+, and the show is expected to enter production during 2023. Not much is known about the project, but Danai Gurira’s Okoye is set to be the main character.

Nova

Nova and MCU Nova Corps in Guardians of the Galaxy

More than eight years after the MCU introduced the Nova Corps in Guardians of the Galaxy, Nova is now close to making his live-action debut. There is no official confirmation whether the MCU Nova project will be a movie or a TV show, but rumors point to the latter. There is also no indication if the Nova project will be centered around Richard Rider or Sam Alexander.

Daredevil

Charlie Cox as Daredevil in the Netflix series

After years of speculation and fan campaigns, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock is returning for his own Daredevil show – this time, as part of the MCU. Whether Netflix’s Daredevil is canon to the MCU is a question that Marvel Studios has still not answered, but either way, Charlie Cox is the Marvel Cinematic Universe Daredevil. Matt Murdock previously appeared in No Way Home as Peter Parker and is confirmed to show up in Echo. After three successful Daredevil seasons on Netflix, it will be interesting to see how the Disney+ reboot (or perhaps sequel) plays out.

Wonder Man

Wonder Man emitting his powers in Marvel Comics

Despite being considered for the very first Avengers movie, Wonder Man will only now make his MCU debut. Shang-chi and the Legend of Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton is developing the series, and no casting has been revealed yet. In the comics, the actor and superhero Wonder Man has a connection with Scarlet Witch and Vision, and that could be something the MCU explores in the Wonder Man show.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year

While the Marvel and Sony Spider-Man deal can be complicated to understand sometimes, an MCU canon Spider-Man animated series is currently in the works for Disney+. The show will reveal Tom Holland’s Spider-Man origin story, which Sony and Marvel had previously decided to skip. It still hasn’t been announced whether Tom Holland will voice Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Freshman Year.

Marvel Zombies

What If…? season 1 had a zombies episode, and now the MCU will revisit the horrific timeline with the Marvel Zombies animated show. In the comics, Marvel Zombies was a popular series that started as an Ultimate Fantastic Four spinoff. In What If…?, the last scene in the zombies' timeline revealed a zombie Thanos arriving on Earth, but the Marvel Zombies show could be a prequel or even a slightly different universe from the one in What If…?.
