Several stars of Marvel TV/Netflix shows react to their move to the Disney+ service. It was recently revealed that all Marvel TV series, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, and The Punisher, were leaving their original streaming platform home of Netflix. The news came as a shock to many viewers, given it was only discovered due to a very brief pop-up notification that appeared when each show was clicked on.

Originally, only Disney+ Canada was set to host Daredevil and the other Marvel shows after they left Netflix. This sparked discussions among fans in the US, who wondered if the projects would ultimately arrive on their local Disney+. Luckily, it didn't take long for the House of Mouse to provide an answer. All Marvel TV shows are now officially scheduled to be available on US Disney+ starting March 16, 2022. In light of this news, the platform is also introducing new parental control abilities, as Marvel's Netflix projects will maintain their original TV-MA ratings.

The news of the Marvel shows' move over to Disney prompted several of their stars to share their thoughts on the big udpate. Daredevil stars Deborah Ann Woll and Vincent D'Onofrio, as well as, The Punisher's Ben Barnes were among those who expressed their excitement over this development on Twitter. The same goes for Agents of SHELD actor, Clark Gregg. Check out their tweets below:

Despite coming to the Disney+ service, it's still uncertain as to whether the Marvel TV shows are canon in the MCU, where their Disney+ counterparts exist. While shows like Daredevil and Jessica Jones were conceived with the idea that they exist in the same reality as the Marvel Studios films, they were handled by a different creative team. Until recently, there had been no crossovers between Marvel TV shows with those in the MCU. However, both Gregg's Coulson and D'Onofrio's Kingpin have been confirmed to exist in the main MCU. The former first appeared in Iron Man and the rest of the Phase 1 films, before being awarded his own spin-off series in Agents of SHIELD. Meanwhile, the latter recently debuted in the Sacred Timeline via Hawkeye, still playing Kingpin. Finally, Spider-Man: No Way Home also recently brought Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock/Daredevil into the MCU.

While their characters have begun to overlap, it's possible that Marvel Studios doesn't want to simply absorb all of these previously Netflix-based shows and make their events MCU canon. The MCU's micro-continuity is already complicated, and incorporating so many additional shows would likely serve as a headache for Feige and his team. Instead, Marvel may choose to make the TV series a part of its budding multiverse, to more easily explain diverging events. Whatever the case may be, most fans are just thrilled that all Marvel content can still be accessed, and on one platform.
