Long-time Marvel executive, Jim Chory, has reportedly vacated his post in the company's TV division. Over his years at Marvel TV, Chory worked alongside Jeph Loeb in running the small screen branch of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which continues to expand despite the fact that its movie counterpart continues to ignore it. While Loeb is the guy who's better associated with Marvel TV, considering that he mostly does the press work, Chory has opted to shy away from the public, and instead, oversee the physical production of all of their projects.

Aside from managing the filming of Marvel shows across all platforms, Chory also has several producer credits under his belt for practically every Marvel TV show that has been created since 2013, including Legion, which the company works in-tandem with FX Productions on producing. And it makes sense why he was chosen to help lead Marvel's foray into television due to his impressive work producing the first few seasons of NBC's Heroes as well as The District. But now, it seems Chory has decided to move on from Marvel Television.

Deadline reports claiming that Jim Chory has quietly left his post in the company several weeks ago. The exact reason for the producer's exit is currently unknown, but the outlet's sources say that the executive felt it was a good time to leave since there weren't any new projects in the production pipeline.

Marvel TV bringing Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, and Agent Carter to NYCC 2015

Following the successful premiere of Cloak & Dagger on Freeform just last week, Marvel TV only has New Warriors as their remaining project that is still waiting to air. There's no word yet on a release date, and it has yet to be picked up by a broadcasting network seeing as it's continuously being shopped around.

ABC, on the other hand, also won't have any new Marvel shows moving forward this year as ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey announced back in January. That means that there will be no Marvel TV show on the broadcasting station for more than a year considering that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 6 won't air until summer 2019. That said, there are a slew of new seasons for already established TV shows coming to fans with Luke Cage season 2, Iron Fist season 2, and Daredevil season 3.

It's important to note, however, that Marvel has yet to release an official statement regarding Chory's departure. And considering how pivotal he was in growing the brand on the small screen, chances are that they would at least acknowledge the matter via a press statement, especially now after it broke out. Until then, it would be hard to pinpoint what the exact reason is for his reported departure from the company.
