A total of 83 actors gathered together to celebrate Marvel Studios' successful first decade via a secret photoshoot. It's been 10 years since the company made their presence known in Hollywood by breaking into the film making industry with their first project, Iron Man -- admittedly an odd character to count on when planning to launch a massive franchise. It did not help that Kevin Feige and his group took a big risk on an actor who had a troubled past like Robert Downey Jr. and an indie filmmaker such a Jon Favreau to spearhead the project. Luckily, the highly-improvised film exceeded expectations, providing the needed foundation to build the most successful film franchise in the history of movie-making.

Last month, actors such as Mark Ruffalo and Vin Diesel blew up the internet when they shared via their social media what appears to be a secret Marvel photoshoot featuring a slew of the franchise's most important people. Now, we finally get to learn more about the massive gathering, although, we might have to wait a little while longer for the shots.

Vanity Fair's latest feature covers the Marvel Cinematic Universe's upcoming 10-year anniversary with an extensive report on the franchise's unprecedented success. In it, it was revealed that a whopping 83 personalities have gathered for last month's photoshoot including industry veteran Angela Bassett, (who even braved the the hurricane-like conditions to take part on the pictorial) and Laurence Fishburne, who is slated to debut in next year's Ant-Man and the Wasp and is also developing a secret project with Marvel. Meanwhile staples like Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Evans, Paul Rudd and  Jeremy Renner were all present, as well as, famed comic book writer, Stan Lee and Feige. Based from the clips and photos from that event, we know that other actors like Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Evangeline Lily, Michael Rooker and Paul Bettany were there as well.

Meanwhile, several directors for some Marvel properties were also in attendance including James Gunn, Ryan Coogler and Taika Waititi. We expect that Favreau, as well as brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, were also present given their huge contributions to the MCU. What is curious to find out is whether Joss Whedon was included in the shoot (or even just invited) or not, considering he directed the last two Avengers films. Things are a bit tricky with him right now given his transfer to DC, even helping out with the recently released Justice League. He is also still set to direct and write Batgirl.

Feige previously shared that filming Avengers: Infinity War -- the start of MCU's culmination was emotional for him. We can only imagine how much more seeing all these brilliant actors and filmmakers gather together to celebrate the brand's successful first decade. And we're sure that once the jam-packed photos finally arrive online, it won't be difficult for Marvel fans to tear up even just for a bit.

After the ongoing  Phase 3 of the MCU wraps up in Avengers 4, the franchise lives on with Feige revealing that a total of 20 films are already on their docket for what comes next for the film series. We should, however, brace ourselves with the upcoming shift within the saga with some of our beloved principal cast members biting the bullet in the next ensemble Marvel films, possibly passing the mantle to a new breed of characters.
