Marvel Studios has released a new featurette celebrating the first 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios has been having a great year so far, with two of their most successful movies - Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War - coming out early on. The latter sets the stage for what will be the ultimate culmination of the overall story that they have been telling since 2008's Iron Man, next year's Avengers 4. Sadly, with Kevin Feige and his team remaining mum on the Phase 3 capper, official updates with regard to still-untitled movie and other future films in the MCU may not arrive until the end of the year. But while everyone is focused on what lies ahead, it's also good to look back at how the famed superhero franchise shaped up in celebration of its tenth anniversary.

The MCU's humble beginnings aren't a secret, and whether one is a fan of them or not, no one can deny the significant impact the franchise has had in the Hollywood movie-making industry. Now, almost every studio is attempting to build their own cinematic universe that is both critically successful and profitable like the MCU. But no one has yet to come close to the level of success that the Feige-led film series has achieved.

Marvel Studios The First 10 Years Banner

With Marvel Studios' third and final movie of 2018, Ant-Man & The Wasp, already out, fans had been wondering if there were any other special events they could look forward to for the rest of the year, especially since it appears that it will be quite a while before official news about Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 is released. That was until Marvel Studios announced that all 20 movies in their roster will be coming to IMAX theaters via Marvel Studios' 10th Anniversary Film Festival. Starting on August 30 and running through September 6, fans can watch their favorite MCU movies on IMAX screens, including Iron ManThe Incredible Hulk, and Captain America: The First Avenger, which weren't previously released in that format.

It's currently unknown if there are any other special surprises that Marvel Studios is cooking for their fans after the film festival. Feige previously shared that they have a lot of things prepared to celebrate the MCU's 10th anniversary throughout the year, so fans would just have to wait for those announcements. In the meantime, they can spend their time rewatching Infinity War, which is already out on digital. Its Blu-ray, meanwhile, arrives on shelves August 14.
