Using in-game assets from Marvel's Spider-Man, an artistic fan has created cover art concepts for multiple different Marvel games. Insomniac's open-world wall-crawler simulator has been highly praised by fans, with a lot of that praise going towards the game's in-depth photo mode and a large abundance of skins. Fans have made excellent use of Marvel's Spider-Man's photo mode for artistic creations such as film posters and scene recreations.

While many modern video games include a photo mode, Marvel's Spider-Man features a particularly robust mode that allows players to line up and capture the perfect superhero shot. A variety of options allow gamers to adjust the angle and depth of field, as well as apply different filters of varying strengths. A unique selfie mode is even included, allowing players to change the expression on the web-swinging hero's expressive mask. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales further enhanced photo mode by allowing players to set up virtual light sources and apply stickers to their shots. This exceptional feature, along with a wide range of available costumes for Spidey, has allowed players to recreate Spider-Man movie posters and even recapture memorable film moments in-game.

Using in-game assets and designs from Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Twitter user Rock Rider has created box art concepts for a number of theoretical Marvel games. The first two titles are remasters of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time, classic Spider-Man games released in 2010 and 2011. Another of the game concepts is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which is the rumored title of the upcoming sequel to 2018's Into the Spider-Verse. The rest of the covers feature various Marvel characters such as Prowler, Black Cat, Ghost Rider, and the Fantastic Four. Some of these covers were achieved using in-game assets for the characters, while others were created by editing costumes featured in the games.

While there have been many video games based on Marvel Comics and its characters, most of these games have existed independently of each other. However, Insomniac Games will soon be creating its own Marvel video game universe, as Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel's Wolverine will share a universe when both projects release. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will act as a sequel to Insomniac's previous two wall-crawling titles, with Peter and Miles both encountering the popular villains Kraven the Hunter and Venom. Meanwhile, Marvel's Wolverine will introduce the brutal mutant to the same universe, with the game supposedly being darker than the Spider-Man titles.

With Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Marvel's Wolverine sharing a universe, it appears that Insomniac is preparing to create its very own gaming universe for Marvel fans to enjoy. While nothing has been officially stated, it seems likely that superheroes other than the wall-crawlers and Wolverine will eventually receive their own video games within this world. While remasters of classic Spider-Man games would be a treat, projects starring other heroes like the Fantastic Four or Ghost Rider could be even more interesting for Marvel fans.
