Onslaught is one of the strongest 6 energy cards in Marvel SNAP. It is the anchor card for several decks that build on the same abilities as the card itself. Using other Ongoing effect cards with Onslaught, like Iron-Man or Blue Marvel, makes it possible to combo and achieve massive scores. To win with it, players need to know the strategies with each Location on Marvel SNAP to find the most efficient plays.

Marvel SNAP is a strategy-based card game and the best way to approach the Onslaught deck is to find powerful synergies and combos. Players are advised to include cards with Ongoing abilities that buff their Power, some of which are the best cards in Marvel Snap. Its ability is "Double your other Ongoing effects at this location" and with it being a 6-energy card, it'll be a final push to win the game. Choosing to combo with Blue Marvel and Kazar or choosing to secure a Location with Iron Man or Devil Dinosaur are viable options for Onslaught decks.

Onslaught Needs "Ongoing" Cards

The Punisher and Mr. Fantastic

Using low-cost 1 or 2 Energy cards with Ongoing abilities set up the early game in an Onslaught Deck in Marvel Snap. Ant-Man with an Ongoing ability that triggers once there are 4 cards in the Location can make it to a 7-Power card when paired with Onslaught. Cards like Mr. Fantastic and The Punisher are strong mid-game because of the area effect and Power buff given from their Ongoing ability. Finally, when playing the end game, Iron Man or Devil Dinosaur on turn 5 can secure a win in a Location. However, be advised, cards with certain Ongoing effects like Lizard or Namor while playing Onslaught in the same location would be counterproductive.

Combo Deck with Blue Marvel and Kazar

For players looking to build a combo deck with Onslaught, adding Kazar and Blue Marvel is a must for a strategic win. First, using 1 Energy cost cards, like Squirrel Girl or Uatu the Watcher helps players set up many decks with different strategies. Next, 2 Energy cost cards like Angela and Mister Sinister will fill 1 Location while leaving the other Locations open for the main target cards. On turn 4 playing Kazar buffs all 1-cost cards by 1 Power. When it hits turn 5, Blue Marvel in the same Location buffs all cards by 1 more. Finally, on turn 6 Onslaught doubles both effects powering up all Locations and ensuring a win.

Using Locations to Boost Onslaught's Power

Onslaught's Citadel Marvel Snap Location

Locations like Onslaught’s Citadel present an opportunity to quadruple Power points. Using just 2 cards like Iron-Man and Onslaught in Onslaught’s Citadel can get a player up to 92 Power. Locations in Marvel Snap like Luke’s Bar, Sanctum Sanctorum, or Death’s Domain are double-edged swords since cards do not remain in those locations. Using cards like Mister Fantastic or Klaw in addition to Onslaught puts extra Power in those Locations.

Onslaught's Record-Breaking Combo

Onslaught Combo 4000 Power

If players are looking to achieve record-breaking Power in Marvel SNAP, it can be done with Onslaught. When the Bar Sinister Location appears, play Nightcrawler and get 4 copies. On turn 5, one of the Nightcrawlers must be moved away to make room for Blue Marvel. By moving the remaining 3 Nightcrawlers to another location and playing Onslaught in Bar Sinister, it gets copied. A buff of 1024 Power happens to each card, making it possible to get a location to over 4000 power.
