Marvel SNAP’s Heimdall card anchors for one of the most challenging decks to play. Heimdall costs 6 Energy and is an 8 Power card with the ability “On Reveal: Move your cards one location to your left”. Heimdall is from the set of Pool 1 Cards, which means it is available for earlier levels. Building a movement deck around Heimdall can be very powerful, but players must be careful since placing it can be risky without calculating where the cards finish.
When ranking up in Marvel SNAP while using the Heimdall deck, players should maintain an element of surprise starting with weaker Power cards. Before developing the combo in later turns, opponents will be tricked into Snapping for more Cubes. That’s where Heimdall’s strength comes in since it can give a massive boost of power out of nowhere on the last turn. Unfortunately, as players get to higher levels in the game, Heimdall can become more predictable.
Making Heimdall Deck With Pool 1 Cards
According to the marvelsnapzone website, getting Heimdall in Marvel SNAP can be done at early levels since it is in Pool 1. The key card to build a movement deck in Pool 1 is Multiple Man, with its ability to create a copy of itself when moved to another Location. The deck must be built around buffing the Multiple Man with cards like Forge and Hulk Buster then moving it with Iron Fist or Heimdall on the final turn. It’s important to avoid placing the Multiple Man on the left Location since that won’t allow for Heimdall’s On Reveal ability. Having Multiple Man in an empty location when playing the Hulk Buster avoids unnecessary risks.
Heimdall Strengthens Vulture, Human Torch, and Dagger
Players building their Marvel SNAP card collections with Pool 2 and Pool 3 cards will be able to build the best Heimdall Decks. Vulture is a must for any competitive Movement strategy since moving it into different Locations twice makes it a 13 Power card. Human Torch doubles its Power every time it moves, therefore players should try to buff it before using Heimdall. This can be achieved with cards like Okoye, Nakia, or Hulk Buster. Finally, when using Dagger, players need cards that make it move before using Heimdall. Cards like Iron Fist and Doctor Strange will help buff Dagger and Vulture so that the final turn with Heimdall can be even bigger. It is important that these cards be located away from the left location on the last turn, to give Heimdall the most value.
Counter Cards and Dangerous Locations for Heimdall
Marvel SNAP has counter cards and many challenging locations that can foil the movement strategy. For example, Kingpin destroys any card that moves to its location. Additionally, Professor X is a card that locks down a Location which means cards can’t move at all once placed in the same Location. Players can add tech cards like Armor, to stop their cards from being destroyed or play an alternative for turn 6 like America Chavez. Specific Locations that can ruin your strategy are Fisk Tower, Bar With No Name, or The Space Throne. Any of those Locations in the middle or left side make it impossible to take advantage of Heimdall’s ability. To avoid these locations disrupting the player’s plan, having Scarlet Witch in the deck is the way to go.
