In Marvel SNAP, many missions require players to destroy cards, and there are deck builds that will speed up that process. Marvel SNAP is a strategy card game with over 200 playable cards from the Marvel universe. To unlock new cards and increase the rarity of the ones already collected, players need to win matches and complete missions. The game features seasons that come with unique challenges and rewards. The player will also be able to complete Daily Missions, and many of these challenges and missions require the destruction of cards.

Destroying cards was a challenge used in the recent Symbiote Invasion Chapter. Players can expect these challenges to pop up more often as new seasons are released. Players must increase the Collection Level in Marvel SNAP to get more cards. The player won't have any destruction cards in the starter deck, and the Recruit Season Pass doesn't feature any. The game uses a pool system, with each section holding certain mystery cards. To gain and build a destruction deck early on, the player needs to get through as many Pool One mystery cards as possible. To complete missions and challenges that require a player to destroy, collect Pool One destroyer cards, steal from the opponent, take advantage of locations, and combo with other cards.

Collect Pool One Destroyer Cards

Carnage Card in Marvel SNAP

There are few options for base cards that destroy cards, but some mystery cards are in Pool One. Carnage has an On Reveal ability that destroys the other cards in the Location and gives the Symbiote plus two power for each destroyed.

Deathlok is available in Pool One, with his sights set on taking out his allies. He costs three energy points and has a power level of five, which is high for that cost. Typically, his ability isn't practical to win a match, but it is for destroying cards. On Reveal, Deathlok will destroy other cards at the location. If the player wants to maximize this ability, they should hold on to Deathlok until they have three different cards in a location. One of the keys to deckbuilding in Marvel SNAP is including low-energy cards like Elektra, a Pool One card that uses her ability to destroy an enemy card.

Combo With Other Cards

Squirrel Girl in Marvel Snap

A good destruction deck should be full of cards that can become victims to Deathlok's guns and Carnage's appetite. Squirrel Girl is a one-energy cost multiplier card that sends a squirrel to the other two locations On Reveal. Mister Sinister has two energy and power and an ability that adds a Sinister Clone to the location. These cards will fill the field for destruction. Sentinal is a starter card that will keep victims coming when played. On Reveal, Sentinal will add a copy of the two energy three power cards to be placed and destroyed. Keeping with the X-Men theme, Quicksilver is another one-energy cost card to get on the field for plucking, as he is always the first card drawn.

Angel flies out of the deck to replace a destroyed card, saving Energy and filling in the lost spot. Nova is a one-energy cost card that gives other cards +1 power when destroyed. All the destruction cards in Pool One have On Reveal abilities, including the powerful six-energy eight-power Odin. On Reveal, The King of Asgard activates On Reveal abilities in the location, allowing players to double down on destruction in the final turn.

Steal From the Opponent

It may take some time to get one of the three destruction cards in Pool One, so steal the enemy's cards. Stealing enemy cards is an excellent way to clear missions with cards the player doesn't have without spending money in Marvel SNAP. White Queen is the strongest but least effective card thief to get one of the opponent's Pool One destruction cards. With a cost of four and a power of six, she can help win a match. On Reveal, she will draw a copy of the highest cost card in the hand of the opposition.

Mantis and Cable have On Reveal abilities that may send a destroyer to the player's side more efficiently. Mantis only costs one energy with two power, and On Reveal, the player can draw a card from the opponent's deck if they played a card in the same space that turn. Cable costs two and has two power, and puts the bottom card of the enemy's deck into the player's hand on Reveal. Morph is one of the best cards in Marvel SNAP because it can be anything, including a destruction card. On Reveal, Morph becomes a copy of a card in the opponent's hand. With an energy cost of only three, Morph can turn the tides in any game and greatly outpunch his price, so he is solid in any deck.

Take Advantage of Locations

Danger Room in Marvel SNAP

If neither player has destruction cards, locations provide one last way to clear those missions. There are two Pool One cards to add to the deck that will give the player an advantage when using locations. The first is Uatu The Watcher, who allows players to see unrevealed areas when he is in hand. On Reveal, Scarlet Witch will replace a location with a random new one. The whole field is visible with this combo, and Scarlet Witch can change any spots that don't destroy cards.

Knowing every location in Marvel SNAP and how they work will help players clear missions faster. There are many ways to use areas to destroy cards, but some are more straightforward than others. Murderworld is excellent because it eliminates all cards in the space after the third turn. The player can get some low-level cards in this space before turn three. If the player comes across a Danger Room, use it with its 25% chance of destroying a card. Death's Domain eliminates all cards in its location after they reveal, providing a disposal to destroy them in.

As the player progresses into higher pools, they will collect more powerful destruction cards. Shang Chi is a Pool Two card that destroys all enemy cards at the location with power above nine. If the player has leveled up fast in Marvel SNAP and reached Pool Three, they can collect destruction cards like Venom. The Symbiote absorbs the power from all the cards on his side of a location On Reveal. As Marvel SNAP advances through its seasons, having a solid destruction deck on standby will have the player ready to clear them quickly.
